Roy Outers will never be argued out of their position which is of course their entitlement. If not directly criticising Roy for a specific Palace game the it will be his handling of certain players ( Meyer never had a chance or Camarasa was wasted yawn yawn ). Then you have the damning with feint praise approach, and the being negative about good things such as " who was our worst player against Brighton ". I am quite happy to moan about Roy when justified IMO and absolutely think we should be looking into the future now to line up a successor. As a Palace fan I couldn't care less about Roy's performance with other clubs or the national team. If I did I would by way of example be putting up history like this "The achievement of taking Fulham so unexpectedly far, beating famous teams like Hamburger SV, Juventus, holders Shakhtar Donetsk and Basel in the competition, led to Roy Hodgson being voted the LMA Manager of the Year by the widest margin in the history of the award.[" Interesting but not relevant to the present

Agree, another Roy bonus prize hopefully Originally posted by Rudi Hedman
Excellent news. Brighton’s next 2 are winnable. After that only Sheff utd is an easier fixture. Fulham have more opportunities for points late on in the run in. Hopefully we’ll have finally played a part in relegating Brighton after gifting them 6 valuable points in previous seasons they were desperate for those points.

That isn’t how it works. All you can do is watch the performance of managers and do your homework on them, a bit like scouting players. That is why I think when we’ve found a better manager we can hire then we should, and not wait for when Roy decides he’s finished or he suddenly becomes unwell and we’re scrambling around, which if he’s unwell, could be be mid season and very disruptive. I also agree that Roy doesn’t improve or progress players. He might do for his own way of not playing football, but he doesn’t, apart from AWB, who was naturally the best tackler and stopper at RB in England, but didn’t develop going forward. Which of our players have developed or have been courted by other clubs? None? I won’t be surprised if Eze wants to get the bell out of here asap. Luckily Roy is the age he is, or Roy could be here longer to slowly erode the intangible things people don’t notice until it’s too late.

IMO Wan Bissaka, academy to £50mil. Tyrick Mitchell academy to displacing / competition to £50k a week Patrick Van Aanholt. Wilfried Zaha has brought more goals to his game, Jeffrey Schlupp and Martin Kelly as a decent centre back in particular who was in front Scott Dann before injury. AWB was naturally excellent at tackling and stopping wingers. How was his attacking play developed? Which of our players have attracted interest from other clubs? Not even Zaha and his increase in goals. We got one £45 mil bid from Arsenal.

Zaha - most goals and assists this season vs any time of his career I would also argue, it’s difficult to improve players if they are brought in at 30+ years old. Not bad considering the transfer windows we have had under Roy Benteke, Sørloth. Huge depreciation on Benteke and Sørloth finds his ability getting away from Roy and hardly any chances. Only Arsenal bid £42 mil for Zaha and AWB was a natural wing stopper. I’m sure that Roy won’t ever increase the value of players. Nobody watching will see half the team and think they want to spend more on that midfield or forward player than we did after he’s come here and had any attacking abilities sapped out of him.

I think a lot of the “ Roy out brigade” have got COVID 19 cabin fever and are generally frustrated with everything. All will be right in the world once normality returns.

Increase in player value is quite hard to achieve when so many were signed at peak age particularly attacking ones.
