I'm with you on that. As much as we seek to protect people as risk, they also need to protect themselves. The first lockdown was understandable since covid was an unknown quality. This one, when businesses have already taken a monumental battering is concerning with its 'businesses shut - schools open' approach. My thought is, if it achieves little will they drag it on and on just to justify it.. Even though some understandably have concerns about the vaccine, I feel a certain relief in that it might at least shift the focus to vaccinating the at risk and letting the world get back to turning for the rest of us! I agree, I have a feeling there will be no lockdown from 2/12 until after Christmas and it will be re-imposed in the New Year. Edited by Spiderman (10 Nov 2020 10.20am)

The chances of getting a life threatening disease is much higher than the risk of side effects from the standard vaccines but I would certainly be reluctant to be innoculated with a vaccine that had was rushed through testing like the Covid19 one will have been.

| The selfish idiots on here who say they are not at risk because of age, and won't be vaccinated, can't grasp a simple thing. The point is not only to protect the person being vaccinated but also to prevent them from passing Covid to others.
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. | |

Yup, every person it tries to infect that can bounce it off stops that C19 line of attack.
