Footage of a Palestinian civilian being shot dead by an Israeli sniper, while searching rubble for members of his family:

Already posted and covered earlier on in the thread Seth old chap.

Oh yes, dismissed with a shruggish 'well that's war' type response.

Not quite.

By the way, it's an assumption that it's IDF, not actual proof of course.

Still, anyone rooting around a front line they have been told to leave will run that chance.

Don't look for your stuff, you might get snipered.

It's turned into a turkey shoot. The more I read about Israel's atrocities (for that is what they are) the more I despair.

This story hasn't run its course yet: [Link]

"Unconfirmed" for now, but this appears to be another Muhammad al-Durrah moment [Link] which Israel will try to play this down, but it graphically shows the depths they have sunk to in the way they treat Palestinians.

And people are surprised that they lob a few rockets back? After what they've had done to them for the past 40 years? If any of us was living there we'd do the same.

The link from that to the actual video appears to be broken, so there's no way to judge its validity.

Interesting though that the writers of that blog repeatedly used words like "savages", "subhuman", "barbarism" and "inhuman" to describe Hamas. These are the same kinds of words often used against oppressed peoples, to dehumanise them and make it more acceptable for them to be abused and killed. The Nazis did it, as did the Soviets and many other mass-murdering regimes, such as Israel's.

To make the "other" less than human makes it easier to wipe them out.

I guess this makes you a Hamas apologist.

'Lob a few rockets' is attempting to suggest that Hamas are proportional by choice. If allowed to be stronger Hamas would kill or capture as many Israelis as possible.

Are there murderers in the IDF, most definitely. Hardliners are often in their ranks. Do the IDF prosecute soldiers? yes......Do Hamas? No....They exist to kill Jews.

Do Israel have a constitution calling for the demise of all Palestinians, no....Do Hamas seek the destruction of Israel, yes.

As for the Al Durrah incident.....It remains unclear what actually happened.

Israel seek to attack Hamas because Hamas are at war with them. To not attack an organization that has declared war with you and seeks your destruction doesn't make any sense.

I have no problem with Israel killing members of Hamas at any time. Nor do the western governments in general....and outside of Iran no one officially will moan about it.

Attacking non Hamas though is a problem.

Basically yes....Don't go to front lines you risk being killed.

The whole of Gaza is a front line. Are you saying everyone should leave?

Isn't that what Hamas are asking of the Jews/Israelis?

Not true and typical over wrought language again.

Go to the UN compounds. If they are full stay closest to them.....Rocket science isn't it.

This assumes that the IDF would never fire on UN safe-havens which is untrue. A United Nations inquiry into attacks on UN personnel or facilities during the Gaza War concluded that Israel had fired on U.N. personnel or facilities on eight separate incidents.
