Quite possibly, but my views come from a position of real experience, unlike yours, which is no excuse for pomposity but is a reason to ensure that people are not seriously taken in by your prejudiced and myopic view of the world. I have actually left you alone for quite a few days to peddle your predictable, ignorant, offensive and supercilious humbug (IMO)...and you have not disappointed. If you find it tiresome, then I am fairly sure the vast majority on here would not mind too much if you decided to take a sabbatical and actually use the time to to gain some knowledge of the real world, rather than simply reinforcing your prejudices by reading the editorial columns of the Mail and Telegraph. Kind of makes your commentary on my popularity a bit silly. Tell me Dave, where did you come? Personally, I find the esteem you hold yourself in hilarious. Pray tell me, was it 'your position of experience' that enabled you to look a fool when detailing NATO's remit. Telling all that cared to read the thread that NATO only acted upon external threats when within your own region they are engaged in peace keeping after being active within a European conflict? Tell me Dave, is it your experience of the world that told you that poor people should be grateful to rich people? A comment not only offensive to many but completely devoid of any rationalist notion that being rich is mostly dependent upon those less well of. I don't want to get involved in your spat with SD.As a general principle, I hope we'd all try and stay away from sidebar spats and in my humble opinion, there are some much worse offenders for getting into sidebar spats than either of you But, NATO in former Yugo was re an external threat.Were Bosnia or Serbia or Kosovo NATO member "states" ? There were some Bosnians went to do some cheap labour in the Lincolnshire market gardens earlier this summer...
