So many to choose from.....However Speroni and Puncheon have consistently won us points.

If I had to choose between them it would be Speroni.

I think over the course of the season he's effectively won us more points.

I've narrowed it down to 6 players and my reasons below. Totally appreciate that these are just my opinions and I'm sure some of them will get shot down in flames.

Mile Jedinak
For me he could qualify for this accolade but possibly a bit of an outsider. On the one hand, I don't think he has fulfilled his full potential this season and some of his passing has been extremely erratic. On the other hand I think to myself, would we have done this without him? I think he has been key. Without his interceptions I think our defence would've been incredibly exposed and his role has also allowed our defence to contribute to counter attacks. Probably my 6th choice but he shouldn't be ignored.

Damien Delaney
I loved Delaney last season in the Championship, but I was fairly convinced we'd see two new centre backs in our back four once we went up. I felt sad about it though, but wasn't sure he'd be quite up to the Premier League. I think his constant presence has proved me well and truly wrong. He had been a rock at times at the back and has really stepped up. My 5th choice.

Maroune Chamakh
It's been said before that on a technical level he's once of the best we've seen turn out for Palace in recent years. Came to the club with some kind of reputation of being a selfish player just out to take his wages....Arsenal fans clearly didn't get the Chamakh experience we've had. A striker that tracks back and tries to win a supply of the ball automatically gets into my good books. Yeah, he gave away a penalty and got a load of flack, but that's what happens when you have a striker who is playing EVERYWHERE on the pitch. Massive hero of this season and my 4th choice.

Jason Puncheon
This won't go down well, saying he's my 3rd choice, but he is. He couldn't be 1st or 2nd due to some really sloppy games where people claimed he didn't care. But I actually think he's been one of our top performers in the majority of his games this season (I'll regret saying that won't I?!). I have seen games this season where he looked like he'd give his right leg for a Palace win and his recent trickle of goals has come from a lot of hard work, especially when he could've easily gone the other way and said "f**k you" to all the stick he was getting.

Joel Ward
Was very close between the top two for me. Joel was the first player in the squad that looked Premier League for me and has been all season long. I daresay he has probably been the most consistently good player for us over the 33 games we've played so far (whilst he's been playing obviously).

Julian Speroni
They sometimes say that key saves in games are as good as a goal sometimes and in that case I reckon you could say he's notched up enough VITAL saves to outscore our top goalscorers. Palace have had him well protected at times with a well organised defence, especially under Pulis, but I don't believe for one second we'd have as many points or the defensive record we have without Julian Speroni who has really stepped up to the Premier League. He's on the radar of even the most anti-Palace pundits and for good reason. I don't feel blasphemous mentioning his name in the same breath as Nigel Martyn now. Therefore, Jules, by a whisker over Joel, is my top choice.

Ward, speroni or jedi for me. Punch hasnt been consistent enough for me. Though his last few games he has played really well it doesnt makeup for the games where he was awful or made huge mistakes i.e. the Southampton game.

Pretty sure it does considering his goals have single handed won us 10 points.
3 points vs Villa
3 points vs Hull
3 points vs Stoke
1 point vs Norwich

Not to mention 2 goals vs Cardiff

Ward, Speroni and Jedinak.

Don't know who though. Jedinak is so instrumental in our game; he had the week or the week before, and may still do now, the most interceptions in EUROPE. Speroni has saved us so many times, and Ward' step up to this level has been brilliant.

Don't think I'd grumble if it was any of them.

Ive been very underwhelmed by Jedi this year.

I don't know how anyone can say that really. I think he is the most crucial player in our system. The amount of tackles and interceptions he wins is absolutely astonishing. not to mention his presence in the air. His passing does lack, but if it didn't, make no mistake he would be at a top 6 club. An absolute beast. Incredible again against Villa.

He's one of those players that you'd notice more if he weren't playing. The stats don't lie; he has been monumental. I think his shortcomings have just been highlighted more due to the quality of the league.

How many times is there a loose ball, or a tackle needed to be made, and it's Jedinak that's just there, as if from no where?

But he has been nowhere near our best player this year. One of our worst performers at times this season.

Mine would have to be Speroni. Made some crucial saves and his name sounds like an ale.

Was he playing on his own at these matches?

Assuming every player gives 100% and plays to the best of their ability, there is only one player in it. Ward. Naturally gifted with pace and vision and pretty hard.
