I've no idea what shape the German economy is in. All I know is that it's quite a bit bigger than ours.

It's in recession coupled with the beginnings of a major banking crisis (Deutsche bank/Commerzbank).

How does this benefit the UK?

Based on?

I constantly post re- the economic situation within the EU because i know that the 99% of Remainers here haven't got a clue (and yeah, it's sometimes fuelled with red but never bitter).

THE EU IS BROKE. FACT.
Remainers continually ignore this fact because it goes against their 'you're a racist etc' default position.
I'm trying to help everyone here, Remainers more than most tbh.

I'm still awaiting a response from a Remainer (any will do!) regarding the current economic situation in Germany.
Rather than have a pointless pop at me, do some bloody homework!

err the irony comment was in response to pussays comment which you called comedy gold, I was agreeing with you and adding'irony'. Read properly before jumping to pointless conclusions eh??

Not quite, don't confuse Europe with the EU, and the import side of that equation massively outweighs the exports. We make up 11% of Germany's entire economy.

We either reciprocate tariffs or replace the partner if they want to ransom the logistics.

There's nothing from the EU members we can't get elsewhere, in many cases cheaper and in every case on our own terms without having to look after 27 other mouths into the equation.

So with the logic you use why cant germany take their 11% and deal with some other countries.
Trade is a two way thing and we arnt as 'great' as we used to be.

If that survey is correct then most people who voted to Remain were concerned “the risks of voting to leave the EU looked too great when it came to things like the economy, jobs and prices” (43%).

That is hardly a ringing endorsement of the EU. And yet Brexiteers are told we are the negative ones.

Nearly half (49%) of leave voters said the biggest single reason for wanting to leave the EU was “the principle that decisions about the UK should be taken in the UK”.

Immigration you mean

Whoa captain.
I dont and never have worshipped the eu.
I voted remain because i was happy with my lot.
I never dug deep because i wasnt looking and had no need to.
Any brexiteer can dig for bad press the same as a remainer going the other way.
It was ok for me and mine and yes it may get better.
Can anyone give me a direct and i mean direct affect apart from 13 billion quid (which a high bit came back);that being in the eu had on you.
Unless you dig to find issues now, then i reckon there wasnt any and it was a sort of(im goner show you) mentality.
Fair enough you had a choice but you may in the end have chosen badly.

That's to be expected when you have over twenty more million people.

But the German attitude to guilds and engineering is world class.....though I expect their standards to dip slightly in the coming decades.

thanks for clearing that up. If only you came along sooner we could have saved so much time

The EU has been surviving, not prospering, on free-money for years now (to the tune of around 7,600euros per person).
As this (free) funding has now slowed/stopped..............what do we see? An economic slow down within the bloc, particularly the main driver, Germany. Coincidence?
And no, this is hardly ''digging-deep'' (why do bloody Remainers feel the need to constantly over-egg any given pudding?!!!!!), it's merely having a look. There's a big difference.

For the record, i'm happy that you're happy with your choice.

But how did being in the eu affect you directly.
However much money is involved it wasnt taxing you any more.
What has germanies economy doing to affect you.
It doesnt.
Any money not spent in the uk wasnt going to be spent anyway so had nothing to do with our contribution.
BTW were you aware that in 2016 over 900 billion pounds went through the government to run the country.
Makes our fees to the eu a bit paltry really.
It just seems as i stated that it was a vote to teach them a lesson and over egging the pudding is to put all remainers in a worship the eu bubble TBH.
Also my choice aint really worth a carrot now is it but hey lets do the deed and hope for the best as that is were its at.
Hope!
