Can the EU interfere any more? Because they know best, they want all member states to end daylight saving time. [Link]

In my view, would represent a good move for England

No it has to be approved by all member states to become law.

Most Europeans surveyed want this apparently, myself definitely I've never seen any merit in piddling about with the clocks twice a year.

Probably dates back to WW1 or something.

Still we could be going back to that type of scenario after leaving.

I'd prefer we used BST year round too, but it's not a solution that suits all countries across Europe and quite frankly it doesn't matter. If you're too thick to work out what time it is in another country you have phone or computer to inform you, which you'll already be using if needing to do work across the continent.

Most Europeans don't live in the farthest points north or south of all the countries concerned. Not to mention that an online survey by the EU will probably only ever be stumbled upon by the most ardent pro-EU persons, or staff (and their friends) as they're known.

Trying to dictate that all should have it when there's already 3 different time zones in the EU is pointless.

This came up for me on NewsNow, see attached. More EU interfering and restricting internet use!

Essentially it's a 'link tax' and this bureaucracy will hit small media outlets while large corporations such as Google and Facebook will be able to afford it. As is the case with lots of EU regulation.

I beleive it was done to help out farmers who then had more daylight to harvest in the autumn.

So we increase the population by millions whilst cutting the police service!! And if that's not enough we sell all the property to keep it going!! What is the point, who actually wanted over population in the first place?

The Tories are no longer the 'law and order' party.

They are now exclusively the, 'vote us and keep your stuff' party whilst virtue signalling about being a feminist and rainbow warrior and attacking free speech......increase the population size and worsen public services whilst lying about wanting to keep it down because cheaper workers increases GDP for the short term statistics.....despite worsening the overall problem down the line....and sticking two fingers up to working class UK Tories.

Awful, just plain awful.....I'd honestly rather have Corbyn than May....and he's pretty much my ideological enemy......but at least he isn't a traitor to the values of his own party.

The slippery slope of ‘think how we think’ and more and more control. Self determination not such a small thing to stand up for then.
