You do sit in the most minging stand in the stadium though. Tbf the odd couple of occasions I've sat in the upper holmesdale and used the red and blue bar it is a completely different experience and I do wonder to myself why I put up with the Arthur.

I think we was told they was going to invest £50m in the stadium if the stadium hasn't been developed yet then my assumption would be they haven't hand the money over yet. Why should or would they until the time it's needed for the stadium. All very well to complain they could spend that money on players and then complain the stadiums not been done. When in all likelyhood the money will be available from them as and when the club is ready to do the work. But hey hoe I'm sure we can complain that it's not siting in our bank account making us interest and not there's. Or that we haven't spunked it on players. I'll be upset if we have spent it on players but my assumption is we haven't and that in all likelyhood they'll on the agreement and put the money in as and when it's need for the redevelopment... But in the meantime everyone can moan that in five years PL status the stadium hasn't been rebuilt. Spoilt children, if that's what you think. Point proven... Carry on children. This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave Haven't progressed on one stand yet is closer to the mark. You can't help but think the last 2 seasons of pretty poor and risky starts, being somewhat hamstrung from poor preparation and transfers, Parish has held back on increasing on whatever offer Sainsburys last declined. It really is a time to get things in order early, then start to be proactive in other areas like stadium, academy, scouting. Get rid of the c0ck up, followed by very costly firefighting approach, forget about winding clocks back and forth and hiring or agreeing with managers on progressive football. Just equip the managers and players with colleagues to take that pressure off so the club can truly progress. I hope that we survive this season and maybe Parish can finally trust Roy who's got a few years of knowledge to use on whatever Freedman presents to him from some very hard work. Do that and maybe the main stand proposal will be a bit stronger and we can follow it through and start to actually look like that stable prem club rather than just saying it until there's no chance.

Exactly right Rudi. We need to steady the ship and be boring for a few years before we can do work to the stadium. Stop the sacking the manager, paying compensation and then more money on a new ones; obviously update the players, but that's what the TV money is for. If we do this and we get relegated, we'll be in a bit of a situation having to cut players and the like as a result of it. We'd also look a bit silly increasing the stadium size, when our attendance will drop to, at best, 20k.

Cheap would be 150m, which would probably add 10-20m in net revenue (not profit) one day. Fans know that a decent stadium can fundamentally improve what the club is for many decades...why should a New York-based private equity investor care about that, especially after the pound's post-Brexit depreciation wiped a chunk off his investment?

I thought that Parish had been working with the people who designed Liverpool's new Main Stand, KSS Architects? They could do a lot worse than use the people who have transformed Bristol City's ground though. Although the away end was still quite basic, the rest of it looked very good, whilst still retaining the character of the old place the truth is that there are a number of projects the club are looking at... Not just the main stand, but also other stands and the training ground. Many architects will be involved in this process

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave Been doing a bit of digging (unlike Parish) and have found that there are zero planning applications in at the moment and the training ground? Well, blimey...this is all that has been done it appears since 2010 Demolition of various single storey office and associated buildings and erection of a new two storey extension to the existing main pavillion building, together with the rationalisation and enlargement of the parking areas.
