These massive transfers don't always happen quickly. Pretty sure when he went to Villa it took a while and obviously £30 million is a ton of dough to work out !

The Tomkins deal took a while from the first announcement and that is a comparatively small fee and there may be other issues with his wages. Cabaye may well have a clause in his contract guaranteeing him being the top earner for instance. I really hope this happens but it could still be a while.
