More like David Bryant and Brian May, a match made in heaven.

Various outlets reporting West Ham trying to nab Mario Gomez for a mere £7m...

Sure, he's "old" (31 isn't too bad), but if we're signing two strikers, I think he could be a great option. 26 goals and 5 assists last year in Turkey, 29 goals and 10 assists in 68 German caps over his career. Can't believe he'd really go for that little, but I'd like to see us try to find out, at least.

Huge wages but definitely worth a punt, powerful front man, really useful backup from the right salary

Bas Dos as mentioned would be great in the Prem, but Wolfsburg aren't a selling side and missed his goals when he was injured. I would say we would had two hopes of signing him, as good as that might be in all our fantasies.

Martin Braithwaite simply isn't good enough, may as well have kept Gayle.

I think we should be looking at Mbokani who played for Norwich last season on loan from Kiev. Strong and quick, but, off to the African nations. Yala will know him well and help him settle in. Already had his first season in the prem and knows what it is about. He wasn't pulling up trees at Norwich but who was, that said he didn't let them down. Will be at the later end of his contract, so a loan or a cheeky 5m bid + add ons, for obvious reason might not be loving the idea of living in Ukraine at the moment.

Its not a Palace transfer window without being linked with Bendtner

Well, expressions of interest rumoured in Sakho (£15m), Benteke (£30+m) and Berahino (£20+m)

Who knows who we will end up with!

Someone from the championship bought in a bit of a rush of blood, and someone on loan from another club, who's s**t, if tradition has anything to do with it.

Tomer Hemed.

And Pardew signed Rickie Lambert for Southampton.

We could still hijack the Mccormack to Villa transfer, a snip at a mere £12m.

Maybe we actually will end up with Akinfenwa and the person who started a thread suggesting it will feel in some way vindicated despite overlooking the fact he'd probably be terribly out of his depth.
