We were not far behind them until Roy arrived as as far as sacking managers were concerned. As for dumping money we have the tee shirt there as well. You have to look no further than Sakho and Benteke as examples and then there is the contract extensions for players who were either permanently on the sick list or just useless.

Parish is no better!

We are now on our 8th manager (Excluding caretakers) over that same period but of course some left of their own volition.

CPFC2010 have sacked Burley, Warnock, Pardew and De Boer. 4 managers in a decade. They sacked 4 in one season. Sakho and Benteke were signed in positions we needed to strengthen. We have to ask ourselves, after 8 years in the Prem how far have we gone forward as a club? Answer apart from Cat 1 academy status, nowhere. When we return to the Championship which we inevitably will we will have exactly the same stadium as when we were promoted but a wage bill 5 times the size. Was it worth it? It seems to me the club has more chance of moving forward if we go down with a chance of more academy players making the step up. At the moment we are treading water.

When we return to the Championship which we inevitably will we will have exactly the same stadium as when we were promoted but a wage bill 5 times the size. Was it worth it? It seems to me the club has more chance of moving forward if we go down with a chance of more academy players making the step up. At the moment we are treading water.

I believe it was in 2014-15 that Watford had 4 managers but Oscar Garcia stood down for health reasons.

Roy shipped in stability in the period before Roy's arrival we were nearly as bad as Watford,some of those Managed who walked I suspect did so because of lack of investment and input on transfers. We overpaid for Sakho and Benteke and then we extended contracts on the same players, plus Wickham when we should have let them go.

The point I'm trying to make is that Parish is no better, he was responsible for bringing in the useless Americans
investors and now for ego reasons is not making the club attractive to new investors or indeed a lot of players who during transfer windows we are associated with only for them to go elsewhere because something or someone at CP put them off.

How some people think we can attract top managers and players whilst we are in the mess, we are in, is beyond me!

We have the 15th most expensively assembled squad in the league and the 15th biggest stadium. A low turnover in players coming and going has helped increase the wage budget. Nobody knows, but previous Chairmen have had talent in the team, but sold them, Wright, Collymore, Johnson etc all more prolific goal scorers than Zara. Each time we sold them, we were relegated soon after.

Totally agree, people poo poo the thought of it, but might automatically reset the all the things going wrong, ie aging squad and players on silly money having to leave. The worst thing that could have happened is Villa staying up, and Leeds coming up, as they are large clubs with a winning mentality.2 teams I don't think happen to think, we will finish above this season. Had it been Bournemouth and Brentford, I think we might have had a better chance. This season like last, will be a struggle without goals, and under Roys awful tactics, I cannot see us surviving again. We are a one trick pony team and every team is aware of this now. Wilf is barely recognisable from the player he was, partly down to tactics and partly down to attitude and the fact he wants out. He is niot a striker and never will be, neither is ayew. Batman will only get goals with service from the wings, not the sort of player to chas down or create his own chances. He will have nothing to feed off, its painful to watch, it really is.
