Let's just bloomin' do it! Given the silly money going around at the moment, £12m would be perfectly reasonable for one of the best players in the championship.

Please stop f'ing about and fill the priority position early, or at least if not early as its 5 months since the summer when we knew we had no cover then early in this window and before West Ham which was suggested and more possible points slip through our fingers in our slide into the relegation zone.

Norwich (according to my family up there) have been open in that they need to sell one or two before they can get any in so it was probably worth a punt as they need the money sooner rather than later (presuming they don't want a last minute/end of January bun fight when the cost of their targets rises).

Having said that this window is notoriously difficult. We are desperate and other clubs know this...we will pay a hefty premium to get anybody in. But that's the cost for keeping Pardew far to long.
