There are reasons for that...mainstream Judaism accepts the idea of interpretation and criticism. It accepts the idea of reform...there are reform branches of Judaism. This is why you can't find any Jews calling for people to be stoned anymore. This is far harder for mainstream Islam...not impossible..but reform is generally not supported by the mainstream. Find me the version of Islam that says apostasy is ok....I'm not aware of one...Plenty treat it very severely. Find me where in Islamic societies homosexuals are fine and dandy......Islam has been around for 1400 hundred years....It should have reformed at the same pace all the other religions reformed....There are reasons it didn't and won't. Anyway all religious books deserve analysis and criticisms. We can all agree on that. I know you like to treat the problem as a collective but that's the approach that has led us here.
