So so sorry for all those poor little lives thst have been lost.
You take your little ones to a concert so they can enjoy themselves.
And these f***ing no mark two bob w***ers do this....to f***ing children.
The security services have done a great job foiling a few attacks recently, and lots of people on the "known list"
But what does that "list" actually achieve,f*** all really, they should tag all of them that are known to have terrorist links.
Keep a electronic tab on all of them.

Being a military man what do you honestly believe should or could be done. Say you woke up tomorrow with the key to 10 downing street in your hand. What would you do. Bearing in mind some terrorists are home grown and born here so the idea we deport them all becomes complicated by this fact.

You also charter into difficult territory when you start locking up people suspected of planning or being sympathisers when they haven't actually committed any crime. Guantanamo bay being case in point. If we employ these tactics we run a real risk of more people turning against us and becoming radicalized or at least identifying with the extremists

Honestly, I would ensure that a taskforce was put together to monitor every single Islamic meeting place in the UK. Phone calls, media, the full issue all covertly of course.

It would be a massive undertaking but as I see it, it's the only way possible.

Is it intrusive and against all that PC boll1ks, very probably, however you can't always play by the rules if you try boxing in a street fight and you get kicked in the knackers there's no point crying "that's not fair".

It would be time consuming, expensive, and like I said a massive undertaking. But I can' think of any other way to completely stop innocent children being blown up over f*** all.

Will have to dig out the figure from another thread so I apologise for not having it but I seem to recall when the Westminster attack happened that it would need 150 officers round the clock to keep tabs on one terror suspect on their list.
This is obviously out the question.

Understand where you are coming from with an electronic tag but how on earth could it be properly policed. They would essentially have to be under permanent house arrest otherwise every time they went out even to the local supermarket they could in theory commit an act of terrorism. Ok it would restrict any foreign travel but in theory it wouldn't work. Immediately their human rights would be compromised . No I am not banging the human rights drum as much of it is used by people who wish to exploit it for their own ends. Just pointing out in practise it would be very difficult to implement. X

Sadly there are just too many craxy brain washed people out there willing to commit murder in the name of Religion and its only going to get worse. Its very hard to come up with a solution as most are probably not even on the Police radar and can go out and do whatever they chose. The fact they do not care if its Women,Children etc makes it all the more worrying.

Yep I get that. In practice it would never be allowed but I get where your coming from. Lots of them probably are monitored without them being aware otherwise all these other attacks wouldn't be stopped.

Ok so moving on to the next level. Once conversations are picked up or emails uncovered that they are either off shopping for bomb making equipment or knives to go on a killing spree then what. What do we do with the synpathiser element who identify with terrorists but aren't at the stage of actively planning. What do we do with them. Would involve court processes and building prisons to house them. Can you imprison people for their own thoughts behind closed doors to their friends. Half the world would be banged up if we could. How do we keep these people once imprisoned from communicating and chatting with one another inside. Lots of pockets of radical element of Islam in our prisons. The Westminster guy was allegedly radicalized whilst inside. How long do we keep them there. Forever? What happens when they are released.

Not a dig or anything as I have already said I most certainly don't have the answer to this. Just trying to think further down the road with each scenario

Yep I get that. I mean people who haven't done anything but might. Who are being watched. They haven't killed anyone yet. Keep coming back to Guantanamo but it is the only example I can really come up with of people banged up their human rights chucked on a bonfire when some of them hadn't actually done anything..

Have to start looking at the mental health perspective of this. Takes a certain kind of mindset to want people dead and actually act on it and kill yourself in the process. Murder/ suicide. Most people haven't got the bottle for strapping explosives to themselves or detonating a rucksack on their lap. And the stock response they believe they will go to paradise surrounded by virgins well I wouldn't have the arsehole to blow myself up or commit a crime where I knew I would he shot and killed.

That's the bit that you need faith for. Faith can overcome the rational and sensible aspect of the mind, because it peddles the idea of an absolute truth. Its also why most suicide bombers are young men. Typically at their most idealistic.

Desperation and faith, can make otherwise normal people sane. The mentally ill, as a side note, are more at threat from themselves and society, than they are to society.

All mosques need checks and infiltration by the security services. The same as iffy schools do...I should imagine this happens covertly anyway..though why these religious schools exist anyway was always a mistake to me.....Any religious school.

If these checks don't happen I view that as negligence. If it's an issue with the law then the law needs changing.

Islamic reformers like the Quilliam foundation should meet with the Muslim council of Britain and agree upon what 'interpretation' of Islam is allowed to be preached in UK mosques.

I would agree that many mosques don't need to be touched or worried about......Consultation should of course happen....If the council can't agree then we go with whatever the foundation thinks. Both once the interpretation is settled on then any refusing to do this closes down the mosque. Simple as that.

The stripping of British citizenship needs to be made easier for dangerous unreformalables. Deportation agreements with friendly Islamic countries also pursued. We need to deport those groups that spread anti western views and promote Sharia for everyone in the UK. This is worth paying money for.

This is my take....But essentially whatever works.

I would fully back the reformers and not allow any side-tracking.
