We'd need or buisness done first so not to get egg on our face but the players are potentially out there

If Giroud won't go to Everton, why do you think he will come here?

Why would we consider selling Beneteke, he is a top class striker, just settled in here. His best days for us are ahead of him for us. Top class strikers are in demand, as there aren't many of them.
I hope we have moved on from being a selling club, the sale of Ian Wright cost us dearly when we were in with a chance of establishing ourselves last time.
We may get good money for him, but getting an adequate replacement is near impossible in today's market.

I wonder how suited to the way De Boer wants to play Benteke is. He's not great at pressing, gave the most fouls away last season. Benteke has his limitations, he seems to have lost some of his pace and dribbling prowess and his hold up play is not as good as we'd hope it would be.

He's a very good header of the ball, good in the 6-yard box but not a proper target man nor someone that can stretch a defence.

Unless it's silly money then I say keep, it's a risk to try and replace a goalscorer like Benteke. £30m-40m, plus Bolasie is what I'd be demanding.

FDB might have a view of Benteke which is at variance with others on here ?

He might have a "Bigger picture" and other players who he feels might be more effective in the system he wishes to operate ?

Why do fans feel that bolasie would come back and he injured until Jan . Without Big Ben goals we'd be down, ask most of the clubs from top7 down if they'd love Benteke the answer would be yes.

Frank is going to have to work with what we've got and one of those is a 15 goal a season striker. I'd hope that he'd have learned from his disastrous spell at Inter that change has to be gradual and not imposed. If he has any ideas that, in a month's time, we'll be playing like Ajax then he'll be looking for a new job in January and we'll need to be rescued yet again.

I really like Benteke, but, I think there are strikers in Europe that could do the job for a third of what we would want to sell him for. £60m has been suggested and I think that is a fair amount, considering his age and PL experience.
It is all up to FdB, but what we don't want is a Dimitry Payet saga happening here. If Baenteke wants to go, and tbh, if Chelsea do come knocking, I wouldn't blame him, then let's get as much money as possible, through in Zouma as a transfer, not a loan and let's move on.
I like Bakambu from Villareal, if he did leave.

He has said that major changes too quickly would be non-sensical but he might of course make changes in the short-term whilst keeping the same 'Framework'.

Giroud is an extremely underrated player and would fit in beautifully with the proposed way of play from FdB ...as for the price...have you not seen how silly the market has got? £30m is the new avg.

As for not wanting to go to Everton...us being in London (where he's settled) as well as almost guaranteed starting week in week out would be a big pull.

what if the player WANTS to go?, what he's paid and what he cost matter little, its up to his potential suitors to pay what the contract is worth we hope.
