Regarding Trump I can appreciate why people don't like him, but the stats speak for themselves: When it comes to Jobs and the economy he's unrivaled in his successes. I also like his strong stance on illegal immigration. I think people don't like his brashness, he's certainly not diplomatic, but the
again, has it ever been said anywhere "I know what the world needs, another politician". I've never known any politician strive to keep promises like he has. He's also a strong, no nonsense, uncompromising leader: something we could do with.

This is pretty much the same kind of ill-informed nonsense you find all over Trump supporting groups in the USA, being fed to them by Fox and Breitbart and parroted by Trump himself.

It just isn't true. The US economy has been on an upward curve for several years and was started during the Obama administration. Economies take years to react to stimuli and Trump's impact is only now taking effect. The markets are down as a consequence as nervousness overtakes optimism.

Why? His tax cuts have added hugely to their debt without trickling down into the economy as they enrich the wealthy and not the poor. His tariff wars worry markets and hurt consumers. All of this whilst ignoring climate change and consequently storing up huge problems for future generations.

The man is not just brash. He is also narcissistic, ignorant and dangerous.

Surely Obama was elected just after the crash so the credit for the USA recovery is largely his?

Any given POTUS is (generally) irrelevant tbf. Funds released by The Fed dictate market movement, there's a clear correlation. Those funds have now been lessened hence we see more volatility in the Dow (beware the rising wedge!).
And no bud, as with the UK, the EU, Asia etc etc, the US hasn't had a true ''recovery'' as the reliance on debt just to survive has become greater for all.

Not good.

Here he is, Mr opinion presented as facts.

From the horse's mouth, but all facts.

I'm not saying I like the bloke, but the Donald is doing a good job.

"Facts" without context mean nothing. They at best are half-truths.

It's no better than saying Palace outscored Watford in the first half and claiming that as a victory.

A fact by definition is never a 'half truth'.

You are referring to interpretation of facts.

Obviously there’s no point in explaining why using the WH’s own publications is unreliable.

More importantly, anybody can send an economy into overdrive by cutting taxes and increasing spending (which Republicans suddenly seem to be fine with - most peculiar). Doing it at the top of an economic cycle is long-run suicide.

Why has the yield curve come so close to inversion? Why is the VIX so choppy? Why is the Fed not ramping up quantitative tightening when the economy is on the fly? You tell me.

Ultimately, rates still sit perilously close to the zero lower bound. When recession next hits (my bet is 2020), the CB won’t have the same room to manoeuvre that they did last time, which means fiscal stimulus a la Obama will be necessary. When the WH has been stimulating the s*** out of the economy since 2017, however, where do you turn? Trump’s recklessness means the next recession will be far, far harder to fix than the last one. That is unforgivable.

In absolute terms perhaps but few "facts" stand alone and if isolated from other relevant ones can only tell half-truths at best.

What that WH self-congratulatory puff piece seeks to do is claim credit for many things which only have a smidgen of truth when put into context.

The OP and many of the US Trump supporters don't look beyond the propaganda.

Funnily enough neither did Obama's.
