You wish it were and the rest. But, unfortunately for you, it isn't which is why you will always be nothing more than consistently a wide of the mark unsuccessful faux troll. All that typing and all that effort for me to read the hundreds and hundreds of posts where you are nothing less than very wrong over and over . Keeps me smiling. It's appreciated and entertaining. Ta.

The problem for you I suppose, and by your reactions you tell me it is so, is that I have you sussed. Edited any more early morning musings lately?

It is bulls***, Michael. If it wasn't you would have defended your story more, rather than deflect on to me.

I have met enough bulls***ters in my life to recognise the type. What I think you do is mix things you were told at the time with stuff you have got off the internet to create an illusion to suit your agenda. You experienced nothing of the sort. Deal with it and accept that you are a dull individual looking to spice up your past to make yourself look like something you aren't.

So if an IS sympathising extremist Muslim group walked through Tewkesbury High Street peacefully in their thousands but with banners and flags supporting their cause and vilifying local Christians and there were counter-demos you would quite happily wave them on their way and hope the demonstrators did not get to them through the police lines protecting them?

How very noble of you indeed.

Muslim groups do demonstrate, burn poppies, disrupt the honouring of dead British soldiers, call for the death of authors like Salmon Rusdie - all allowed. The left does not stage counter demonstration against them as they are selective about which type of fascists they are outraged by.

Mobs who take the law into their own hands and attack the police as well as people whose views they disagree with are as bad as the likes of the National Front.

The NF scum were marching through shouting n*ggers, n*ggers, n*ggers out, out, out. The police did nothing. They were doing the Nazi salute, the police did nothing. They were lobbing coins left right and centre at people, the police did nothing.

We attacked the NF because their members had attacked our friends because of the colour of their skins. The police did nothing about that, they were worse than useless. The NF needed to be stopped from attacking my friends. If the authorities do nothing when do you say enough?

Nonsense, they were holding a provocative march, the left counter demonstration chose to escalate it into violence. The police were merely trying to keep law and order. The origins of the the NF march was that they took the opportunity to make political capital out of a mugging crime wave in the area where white people were robbed by black gangs. The NF were an
obnoxious, racist organisation, but mob rule was not and still is not the answer.

You are a person that does not accept the facts from someone who was there that day. I pity you. Continue to live in ignorance.

No, because they are tolerant toward fascism, racism, sectarianism and the murdering of women and children as long as the perpetrators are not white.

Funny that.

I was there as a 15 year old punk, with a group of 8 others . We came across a group of Teddy-Boys aged about 20 and one said 'We're on the same side, but only today!'as he lobbed a brick towards the Police-lined- NF marchers. The Police broke ranks and arrested him along with a couple of others. This happened by the back of Chiesmans and is depicted on the cover of Sham 69's song 'I don't wanna' [Link] . I got to know him a year-or-so-later and we remain pals. Some of the worst trouble was Lewisham High Street. Bricks ,bottles, road signs going one way then coming back again. Shop windows going through, lots of shouting all the way down to Ladywell Baths. Two of my mates(both 15 also) ended up in Lewisham Hospital, one when he saw a brick coming his way and trying to block it sustained a broken hand and one when he fell out of a tree by the swimming pools and turned his ankle. In the hospital was mayhem, people still fighting, mostly with the Police(as seemed to be the order of the day!). My pals got seen quickly as they were so young then we just headed back home to Catford walking the rubble and glass strewn streets with a few pockets of protesters hanging around. It was all very eerie. I believe that day was the beginning of the end of the NF. Those days were indeed violent times with Punks v Teds v Skins at gigs and on the streets, counter-marches by the left/right opposing each other, the GLC day featuring The Redskins,,football hooliganism, mad times indeed! Ollie's Dad,Ash.

Where did you work? I used to hang around Lewisham a lot. If you did then you know what it was like for the NF to continually mouth off against people with a different skin colour.
