Attacking the police solved all the problems then did it. The silliness of making out these mobs were engaged in some noble action is laughable. Why don't you go on to tell us how worthy it was of the same sort of mobs burning down Reeves Corner in 2011.

It was doing what was necessary and against vile, nasty and violent racists when that word really meant something and with no grey area. It was the right thing to do. The police were protecting the Hitler sympathisers and black people haters on their provocative marches as they had been told to do. Caught on the middle.

We didn't attack the police. We attacked the scum that were making other peoples lives a misery on almost a daily basis but I saw the police that day and I have no doubt in my mind that they were more belligerent against the anti-NF than against the NF themselves.

That doesn't excuse any violence against the police but is simply my observation of what happened. The police, although totally useless in apprehending the scum who were making my friends lives a misery, didn't deserve to be attacked that wasn't why me and my mates were there and wasn't something we did. We did get through to some of the NF mob and I apologise for nothing we did to them that day.

I can see that you were quite the mover in your younger days Michael

The police were trying to keep law and order. The NF were staging a provocative and offensive march, but in a free country you have the right to peacefully demonstrate. The far left demonstrators made the situation worse by their violence towards the NF and the police. It is ridiculous of you to say the police were protecting Hitler sympathisers, they were trying to keep law and order. The left take every opportunity to attack the police in these sorts of counter-demonstrations. You and they are irresponsible and no friends of democratic processes to pretend otherwise.

Mobs who take the law into their own hands and attack the police as well as people whose views they disagree with are as bad as the likes of the National Front.

So if an IS sympathising extremist Muslim group walked through Tewkesbury High Street peacefully in their thousands but with banners and flags supporting their cause and vilifying local Christians and there were counter-demos you would quite happily wave them on their way and hope the demonstrators did not get to them through the police lines protecting them?

How very noble of you indeed.

Old enough to be aware what was going on. Radio, three newspapers read everyday, 6 o'clock and 9 o'clock news every night, and around 35 live football matches attended.

No I am not but, of course, it suits your agenda to think otherwise.

For those too young to remember there were regular skirmishes between the police and AW mob mostly handbags but they would send in the snatchers quite often. They hated us and we really hated them and Thatcher was hardly flavour of the year amongst the younger generation either but they loved her. Hence, the Tory membership card from his wallet on show. A bit of winding up. Not up close in yer face action but he wasn't making any effort to hide it either.
Some of the Met police in them days - the early to mid 80's - were a bit like a paramilitary force on behalf of The Conservative Party. Thugs in uniform a plenty. And they got away with it because they knew they could.

Of course he is making it up. But all the Croydon MPs and Council were Tories in those days anyway - in the unlikely event of a policeman flashing a Tory membership card at a Croydon crowd then, he would be flashing to the converted.

Michael's stories are getting more and more ridiculous.

He is like the bore at the pub who reckons he was around when the Sex Pistols played the boat on the Thames, dropped their first e with Carl Cox in a field somewhere in 1988 or took on the ICF single handed, whilst wearing Tacchini & Diadora's in 1982.

It's pure bulls***. It's quite funny though.

You wish it were and the rest. But, unfortunately for you, it isn't which is why you will always be nothing more than consistently a wide of the mark unsuccessful faux troll. All that typing and all that effort for me to read the hundreds and hundreds of posts where you are nothing less than very wrong over and over . Keeps me smiling. It's appreciated and entertaining. Ta.

The problem for you I suppose, and by your reactions you tell me it is so, is that I have you sussed. Edited any more early morning musings lately?
