Do you know, I think everyone had completely forgotten about that

Isn't that the truth! And now look for at Gibbs leaving the Arse for half what we paid for either of them.....

Equally you could say that Schlupp and PVA double signing under Sam was bizarre. Clearly Campbell and Remy were off in the summer. If money for transfers was tight one less there could of helped.

Why do you think that these strikers that we can select from are all unattached?

Yes it was so bizarre. What was he thinking? We had both of them available for hull and man Utd. We could've got by buying just 1 and when he was injured just leaked goals as per Pardew.

Yup crazy why we didn't just buy one and get relegated.

Was an absolute master stroke at the time to buy both and clearly was needed when injuries struck.

And why do people think we paid to much for either? Both seem pretty decent players with Prem experience and funnily enough that costs money.

We was in no position to risk either having one left back or someone without experience. Beyond me how people still question this decision...

That's where your wrong mate. I've supported Palace since 97 through the Taylor and Francis era. It's parish has mentioned fans need to raise expectations. When you have 3 earners on 120k a week , I'm sure Steve parish isn't expecting a bottom 4 finish. We're not little old Palace. Look where we come from only gets you so far. Look at stoke for example never in a relegation battle. Is it too much to ask as Palace fans to have a similar path. Rather than changing managers to survive every season. It was Steve parish that said 84 day plan to get in top 10. Not the supporters on here or the stadium.
Do you believe the squad that parish and de Boer assembled is that capable of a top 10 finish. It was Steve parish that panicked and agreed to give mutch a 5 year deal, not us the supporters. We're now paying for it by poor scouting and neglected academy.

Rant over

whats worrying is that after 20 years so supporting a football team you dont seem to have much of a clue when it comes to how things work, and you still havnt recognised where palace are in the footballing pecking order.

parish didnt promise top 10 finish thats what he wants to aim for, he has to aim for that, but i bet your bottom dollar he will be happy if we stay up on goal difference.

think you need to stop living in a football manager/fifa world and see whats really happening

Your the one living in the past , he saved the club motto. I haven't suggested we spend 25m every summer on targets. I've actually indicated where I see the problems lye the academy and the scouting. To solve us to bridge the gap, unless we develop the ground or get a new site. We're always close to ffp because of the wages we pay. Your support the team because you want to see progression, yes this is 5 years in the prem but why are we constantly looking for firefighters to save another season. We should be past that by now but we're not. That's bottom line of it for me. The club gone as far as it can with Steve parish as chairman. Imo

You genuinely think Schlupp kept us up or we did not overpay?

No need for the cynicism mate, different opinions maybe but to buy 2 very similar players for that amount of money did imo not make sense.

just click the "increase stadium capacity" button in the board request tab and its done...haha

I didn't say I wanted them now but as usual too deluded to see wrong in parish. 7 years his been in charge, and despite 5 years in the prem league. It's all done on a short term vision. We get relegated this season, what we got to show from it.
