The question will be how long the ban is rather than if there is an additional ban. Two matches on the naughty step is my guess.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

What's "fair" got to do with it as it's the FA we're talking about Talking of fair Ashley Barnes is booked for diving (it was a penalty) he then has a prolonged rant at the linesman and the referee and doesn't get a second yellow. Go figure. My guess is that Wilf will pick up a further 2 game ban I hope I am wrong.

But it's the FA, so fairness may not be part of the process, and they are just as likely to view any argument like that as a 'frivolous appeal' and ban him for 2 or more games.

But Barnes did at last stop ranting, but sad to say Wilf didn’t, he kept on applauding the ref and just wouldn’t stop, a proper case of the red mist descending. But at least we did win without him, and Batshuayi will make a big difference to morale, and hopefully take the pressure off. And both Ayew and Benteke did well. So hopefully when he does come back there will be much less pressure on Wilf to always provide the magic

Barnes wrongful booking for simulation should have been followed immediately by a 2nd yellow for the outburst. Otherwise we're staying that a player can scream abuse into the face of an official and not get a sanction, but sarcasm will. And in these two instances, both were commenting on the quality of the officials, just in different ways. If Barnes doesn't at least get a charge, then in future Wilf may as well shout and scream rather than clap.
