Just curious here is every BBC tv/radio 4 production left leaning?

There is a documentary at present on the rise of nazism. Is this lefty? You could argue that it sends signals on the rise and dangers of right wing populism and thus its substance is uncontroversial but its timing and message more political?

For my part I think it should be compulsory viewing for quite a few who post on here...

If you look at the numbers of programmes made in the last twenty years by production companies on the 'rise of the Nazis'....as opposed to the 'rise of the communists'.....you kind of get the answer.

The bias of the kind of person who enters into journalism and media generally is much more liberal and/or left than the average person.

So yes, the media is more 'lefty', the breakdown of general elections alone shows you that.....Where are the socially conservative programmes? Yet that's always been a significant percentage of the population.

I find it quite ironic how much hate there is for Boris, Putin, Trump and historical figures such as Churchill, yet Stalin is ignored.
Stalin used to personally read through the lists of who was to be executed or sent to the Gulag - he literally signed off on every one himself. Absolute madness. Responsible for 10s of millions of deaths, yet Trump is a worse bogeyman.

Probably about right but the prevalence of rise of nazism over rise of bolsheviks has as much to do with the number of Jews in the media as much as its political leaning... and I would recommend not going there!

Aggers seems like a big old lefty or lib dem.....Boycott though seems like an old fashioned Tory.

But yeah, TMS doesn't seem like a Corbyn advertising outlet.
