I know, always the bridesmaid, never the bride....how ugly barstewards like Brad Pitt barged in front of me I'll never know.

Now here is a thread with a future.

Budweiser isn’t bad in the UK. Mortlake water is way better than its equivalent in the US

Similarly Indian Kingfisher when it was brewed by Shepherd and Neame was great and much better than its Indian parent. Less good now Heineken brews it

I agree Tsing Tao is very nice and good value. Also Estrella.

In Prague I drank draft Budweiser, a really top brew. In bottles Kozel was best. I also lived in a brew pub in Brno which was brilliant.

My favourites are bitter. Locally Westerham and Pilgrim (Reigate) are to die for.

Young’s was my favourite but it deteriorated, especially after Charles Wells got hold of it.

You can’t go wrong with London Pride or Spitfire. Harvey’s is an acquired taste but to me it’s gorgeous

Locally to you it has to be Batemans. Really excellent.

Further North Jennings, Timothy Taylor’s and Caledonian stand out.

To the West Hook Norton is oh so yummy and Wye Valley is brilliant.

So that’s tomorrow sorted out.

Blimey, I've barely scratched the surface.....one of you guys should have done this not a social drinker like me.

Maybe someone will do cheeses after this one.

I know where this topic is placed on the shelf of choice. Premium beers. I was referring to the effects of Lowenbrau.

I haven't had Youngs for donkeys years but when I worked in Croydon in the late sixties and early seventies I used to have three pints of Youngs Special for lunch at the Dog % Bull in Surrey Street and then struggle to stay awake in the afternoons

Personally I don’t like room temperature beer. I’ll drink it and like it but it’s why I don’t touch a lot of bitter. A good one is great but after a bit your chops start to pine for a cool pint, hence why I like Guinness.

That’s reminded me there’s that small bottle of premium lager brewed by Guinness in bottles with that a white and red label the more connoisseur lager drinker and spender buys.

I don't like Guinness cold, it doesn't go down as well

It’s not really cold and doesn’t stay slightly chilled too long.

Anyone remember Carling Premier. I remember me and my mates used to drink it, then it disappeared. Think it was like a smoother less fuzzy lager.
I know that fosters will be frowned upon on here, but why does the draft fosters have a whiff off egg?
Guinness extra cold with black in the winter and corona and lime in the summer , yes I do need something non alcoholic and sweet added to my beers. F*cking love a beer. Might have one now, it is Christmas , so less of a loser at 8:3am and more being in the festive spirit
