Despite what 'new migrant crisis' posters say, in unison, there is no doubt that the Home Office has been deporting people who have a right to be here.

'A major plank of the UK's strategy for removing failed migrants has been ruled illegal because it prevents the courts from considering their cases.

In a significant ruling, the Court of Appeal said the policy risked removing people from the UK even if they had a right to be in the country.

The policy has been used in 40,000 removal cases'.

They probably have a right to be in the country longer for an appeal but I doubt generally stay here. Words are great when twisted. It's not like every fifth one off the cliff like the Romans. Each case is independently investigated. How many appeals would it take to change the decision then?

The problem is that failed applicants continue to lodge endless appeals coming up with different reasons why they should stay. There has to be a process that is fair but it also stops the abuse of the system.

The thing is with these ones is people shrug their shoulders 'what are we going to do? We can't prove anything'. Then it's in your kid's class..

It's not good.

We need a complete overall of the asylum system starting with returning boat people to France.

The process of claiming asylum needs to be speeded up far to many people are here for years undergoing constant appeals due to the nonsense that one minute they claim to be Mr Smith from Country A then they are Mr Jones from country B, then they are gay then they are Christian etc.

Every asylum seeker should have access to a lawyer before they make their claim. The lawyer will tell them that they have one go at this so anything relevant has to be said now they cannot keep changing their minds. If they appeal a failed decision it can only be on information they made in their original claim e.g. I was persecuted for my beliefs I now have further evidence that backs that claim up.

Asylum seekers should not have to wait months or years for decisions this should only take weeks. Most will fail because they are economic migrants and should be returned home.

Once they have fixed this problem happy to consider taking people from refugee camps as a humanitarian gesture.

Oil Tanker Off the Isle of Wight in Trouble.

[Link]

Last night a crack team swung into action on hearing this. A government spokesman said

"our top men are on it we will be providing them with free houses, mobile phones and free money".

Oh and the SBS stormed the ship.

If you think I am being too harsh rememeber Jack Straw and the Afghan plane hijacking none of them went home and I bet none of these will. I wouldn't bother with prison I would order the RAF to return them to Lagos today, fat chance of that happening. The lawyers were probably waiting at the quay side.

I sympathise with Ukrainian refugees but as I have previously predicted, the endless stream of refugees and migrants will be increasing decade by decade as war, lack of resources and climate change worsens.

As an island nation, we have to protect ourselves from the inevitable consequences that the likes of Wisbech is in denial about.
Despite the revisionists, we know that the fall of Rome and Egypt were largely down to migration caused by people being displaced or seeking prosperity.

We will go the same way without a doubt.
