There is only power, who has it and who doesn't.

Everything else is propaganda.

Migrants from decades ago all had close ties to Britain, whether that was politically, religiously or culturally. That built the framework of respect and integration. Even if it wasnít immediate, it happened. The modern day version is very different. We have mass immigration from countries and cultures so different to ours they may as well be from a different earth, which is why they remain isolated. These areas are obviously also going to grow and already have done. Add in a dissatisfaction with how this (our) country is and how they donít have the opportunities other people do whilst making zero effort to grasp more opportunities then you have a serious problem on your hands and one Iím glad to avoid.

There is also the obvious problem with numbers and national/cultural or European identity and services/infrastructure as well as our acceptance of this. Thatís if you live close enough. If you donít and you live by an ideology then you couldnít give a shoit and will vacate your area on the sly/quiet as we know.

Yeah, like I went specifically all the way to the bottom to read that part.

Listen chap, I grew up in London. What you refer to as 'diversity' was a small fraction of London up until fifty years ago. So when you talk about history and London not being English, don't expect smiles.

It's the English capital and it is meant to be an English city.

This, with solid brass and ornately detailed knobs on.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

I do not have any intention to mention London is not English, or should not be English. Before i moved to London, i also heard lots of comments that you don`t hear English language or see English people around but see only world population / languages. My experience here is different to that, honestly. Yes, there are many global elements but i see there are various of English elements as well which is commanding the city.

I mentioned `expressing the downside of different cultures` by using `London is not English anymore` definition is not right way which somehow covers all non-English people who has been part of this city without any issues which arrived here due to dynamics of London i mentioned.

That is not right for me, it was right for him and he tweeted, no concerns around this.

Last Sunday we flew on holiday from Luton Airport and hearing English was quite unusual as most of the people milling around seemed to be speaking other languages.

Even the staff in the shops and restaurants spoke English with heavy accents

Well, airport is not a good place for observation But as i stated earlier, yes this is true that there are various of non-English people in London, stats clearly confirm this. I do not oppose the proposal that there are changes in London due to immigration. My view is that this is not making London non-English from lifestyle perspective as London is very English city based on my experience here and considering side effects of its position in the world by being open to immigration a lot.

I am a bit glass-half-full man.

For something to be English....it kinda requires the English.

There are large parts of London that are almost English free zones or where the English are very much a minority. That is only going to get worse.
