The Times is reporting that the guy was wearing a tag and was released from prison (for a terror related conviction) after agreeing to have his movements monitored.

There are protocols. Looks like they were followed. Nothing to debate.

I wonder how the have a go heros feel about it having succeeded in disarming the bloke and getting him pinned down. I also wonder if the rumours about him having a gun are true.

It doesn't sound like releasing people on tag is fit for purpose if this kind of thing can take place. Cost cutting at the cost of lives.

And really shouldn't it be for certain types of more minor crimes, because a tag isn't going to make a lot of difference to someone with this type of mindset.

What we are seeing is the outcome of generations of politicians avoiding harsh and uncomfortable truths and indeed even promoting the opposite.....and instead kicking the can down the road to become a larger can for someone else to ignore.

The birth demographics will set the scene....the die is cast.....The idiots and idealists won a long long time ago.

People who were demonised were proven right....yet no one admits it because their worldviews are based upon best case scenarios and half truths.
