According to the representative of the 'Bitterness oozing' party

You completely misinterpret my reaction. There is no bitterness at all. The result is exactly as expected, predicted and deserved because of Labour's awful campaign. That doesn't mean it is wise. It just means it has happened and what is needed is a better opposition and longer term strategy. What is does is reinvigorate the determination to overcome such foolishness.

the hard brexiteers on HOL, which includes 'Yours Truly' are a "Sub-Species" which of course has and can be used as a pejorative term.Clearly us 'Leavers' are of a lesser rank than those 'Remainers' who cannot accept the result of the referendum.

If you wish to take offence and claim victimhood then I cannot stop you. The fact remains that the very hard line "no deal" type of Brexiteer exists in greater proportions here than in the population as a whole. As such they are indeed a Brexiteer "sub species". To which you probably don't belong.

Brexit will be over-turned,we will all live happily after in the United States of Europe, PR will make a grand entrance and the latest election result will be revoked !!!!

There will never be a "United States of Europe" and very certainly never one that includes us. Some countries may choose to integrate themselves politically over time but that is another issue. This idea is simply a scaremongering tactic of the right. PR is likely to surface again as an issue once Farage gets his new party up and running. Let's see who eats humble pie in a year or two!

Ladies and Gentleman, our minds are "Cast in stone", we are not for turning - Kindly re-arrange words "Pot,kettle, black" !

So they are. I never read anyone on the right here acknowledging they might be wrong. However if anyone carefully reads my posts you will see I am giving some credit to Johnson and expressing hope that his direction will now be softer than it first looked.

Sentiments wre expressed that "Self-righteous" drivel is the monopoly of the cabal of hard-right posters, who clearly don't have the cerebral capacity to recognise it.

Your words not mine. However as they were confirmed only today by another poster maybe you are right.

Would like to add that just because one is a staunch Brexiteer this doesn't necessarily equate to having hard-right views.I will let others form a judgement as to the validity of this claim and whether attacks on one's intelligence in such a manner adds value to this cherished site.

On this you are correct. I have never accused, or thought, you to be someone of the hard right. Blindly loyal maybe but on tribal lines rather than ideological ones. If Hammond had one the leadership I expect that you would have campaigned for him too.

Rhetorical grandstanding is alive and well on HOL.

I believe I have spouted enough on this matter.I don't wish to resemble a nursery matron giving a potty drill or posting what would resemble a lecture from the speaking clock.

I would much rather hear from you than many others some of whom make one of your newest members seem positively left wing. I am talking, of course of Stephen Yaxley-Lennon. I wonder if you approve of his membership and how long it might be before some of the new Tory northern MPs employ him as a "special adviser".

Has this been confirmed by the Tory party? Only today the leader of the Scottish Brexit party announced he joined the Tories only for the leader of the Scottish Conservatives to say (panto fashion) "Oh no you haven't".

Anyone can fill in an application form it doesn't mean that they are accepted I can't believe the Tories will take TR in.

One person's "Truth" is another person's "Hogwash".

And of course it is NOT true at all that your comments gained any approval whatsoever either from myself or another poster. So much for "Truth" !!!!

Finally your comments were not wasted at all as it provided the opportunity to shine a spotlight on them and encouraged a repudiation of the message which appears to be an amalgam of incredulity and irony.

Labour were humiliated because of the media.

Untrue. Labour were humiliated because they were awful.

The Conservatives only got a "Stonking majority" because we don't have PR.

Untrue. The Tories got a stonking majority because of Labour. PR will, when it eventually arrives, change the dynamics for everyone and not just the Tories.

Brexit will be overturned.

Untrue. We will re-enter the EU, or it's reformed successor, at some time by voting in a Parliament who proposes that.

The Election result will be revoked.
The earth is flat and night doesn't follow day.

Now that's just silly.

With respect you took my comments to be of a serious nature when in actual fact there was more than a watertint of mockery involved.

Well that sound like your saying that if people hadn't voted tactically the Tories margin of victory would have been even bigger? Interesting point!

If Farage hadn't withdrawn then the result would have been very different. That forced his supporters to vote tactically which had by far the biggest impact.

You notice with guys like this that everything is the other guy's fault.

Apparently he was off to other sites with more malleable minds.....I take it that was as successfull as his usual contributions.

So he's back here to a site he's slagged off enough times.....Why he's back? No one asked him to come back.....He's as popular here as peanuts at an allergy convention.

I am reminded of the Jacob Rees-Mogg quote, "As a dog returneth to it's vomit, a fool returneth to his folly".

I am NOT labelling the gentleman in such derogatory terms but a return to HOL as described above triggered a memory of the quote.
