But could be back room staff, would be nice to know. Whilst not welcome news, in the grand scheme of things not huge numbers. Presumably Hudson-Odoi hasn’t been tested again

Hmm. 6 from 748 tests. So 0.8%. And likely mostly backroom staff. A bit higher than the overall average for the country but of course there won't be any of this group shielding.

What is your point?

A service economy can't operate properly with social distancing.

Major changes would have to be made to capitalism in this country.

I think EM13's point is,(well mine is), that with all the isolation, the player have tested for a (generally) average positive test in relation to the population.
Not a big deal.
But now they are going to be put in a sporting arena with lots of huffing-puffing, sweat, spitting, communal showers and stuff.
It's not just the players, but their families being put at risk

and Troy Deeney doesn't want any of it.

And to stay back-on-track, the EPL stance is very much like the UK Governments, where there seems to be 'expendable' members of the populace.

football players, factory workers, postal workers. transport staff, teachers,...

House of Commons looked a bit empty again today. Let's lead by example, perchance.. ?

And I thought Fiona Richmond was no longer around.

You don’t need to be in Parliament all the time to run it. All the jobs listed you need to be in attendance to be effective or actually just do the job.

If the R no. rises within that group then there will be no restart methinks.

Troy Deeney doesn’t want any of it. Ooh look where watford are in the table. What’s he doing to adjust? Nothing.

Andros Townsend hails Palace’s handling of it.

‘Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend has praised the club for their handling of player safety over the coronavirus.

The Palace squad returned to training at Beckenham today after a 10-week absence with the country in lockdown.

Here they will undergo an extensive medical and operational plan with the goal of returning to full league action.

Townsend reckons the players could be back playing Premier League football next month.

“I think mid-June would be the best-case scenario, it’s maybe a bit ambitious, but if we can get back to training and if all goes well I don’t see why we can’t be playing before the end of June," he said to TalkSPORT.

“At the moment, with the world we live in, I’m worried every time I step outside my front door. I’m worried about walking past someone and picking up something and bringing it back to my kids.

“But we’ve been quite lucky at Crystal Palace; the doctor, the manager, the chairman, it’s all been transparent.

“We’ve had regular Zoom conference calls, they’ve laid everything on the table and I’m in no doubt that, when I do return, I’m probably returning to the safest workplace probably in the country at the minute.

“We are going to get swab tested regularly, I think twice a week, so there’s no really much room for an outbreak to spread to the Premier League in my eyes. Everything is being done that can be done.”

Correct rudi. It wasnt that long ago that the moaning was about why they had to come to london when it could be done digitally. Now they're doing it digitally they're expected to come in to prove a point. Cant win really.

All from those just above relegation no doubt. They can all keep virus free if they wanted to. They’re not forced into cramped workplaces with people likely to contract the virus in other likely places to catch it. Where there’s a will there’s a way. Unsurprisingly Brighton and W Watford don’t want to play ball. Both w@nkers.

Watford returning to training tomorrow, Deeney is refusing to join them. More to this story than we know me thinks
