I'm looking for stats on the religious beliefs of Coronavirus victims. I basically want to know did I choose the right one.

The Italians are faring much worse than other Europeans so I guess that the left footers picked wrongly.

According to the Indian Government they are expecting to have millions of cases shortly so perhaps Hinduism isn't the right pick either

Wow.

I would happily give up some food for a nurse right now.

Seems a reasonable swap to me.

Tesco have sent an email to someone to say they are going to give priority to vulnerable and elderly people between 9 and 10 am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The supermarkets need to:

1. Lower the max amounts to 2 per customer. That’s a big change and sufficient. Most are at home so if you need more you go again another morning.

2. Keep some in the small rooms out the back to put on the shelves at a random time later in the day and to offer to emergency services people in uniform.

The government need to get into their thought processes as well.

This morning I was shopping for a family in isolation for 3 months and picked up some extra rice and took it to customer services and left it on the desk for it to be put on the shelves later. I was tempted to get other stuff and place it random shelves around the store.

Oh and Cass Pennant was in Warlingham Sainsbury’s this morning at the start of the main middle aisle in a large winter coat and glasses on the phone so either he thinks we’re more civilised in Warlingham or middle aged casuals are about to sort out the selfish husband and wife with 2 trolleys.

You can’t leave your trolley unguarded these days, although Warlingham is probably safe from pinching from trolleys for now. I can see that happening in places.

No doubt the email was suitable vague without explaining exactly what "priority" means in practice

Firstly are you trying to tell us that deep down you are a nice bloke

Secondly what's rice as it's a product I'd long forgotten about since last spotted weeks ago

How often does one need to be tested. If I am tested today and found to be negative there is nothing to say that I won't catch it tomorrow

yes, sadly that is the case and I've been having this discussion with my wife for many weeks now lol
The amount of people who've had little colds and coughs and quickly recovered is hugely confusing the issue, many if not most people will have had exactly this with this virus and not now know that there are no longer at risk of catching or spreading the virus to others.
The test is purely for people who suspect they may have had it and in having conformation frees them up to helping others properly.

Sadly because of the huge costs and time it takes, the problem has to continue.

Fight in Tesco in Hackney. And she’s ruining the food.
Glad I live in the dull greenery of Caterham.

I think a danger of people thinking I’m overstocking because I can see regular early supermarket shops I’d ideally urge people to plan ahead with me and use the OAP windows that have been made available. Plus I’m a mixture of generous and other.

The Tesco email...

‘To ensure our more vulnerable and elderly customers can shop in-store, we will prioritise one hour every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning between 9-10am (except in our Express stores) and ask that you respect this.

Tesco store colleagues can't work from home and a good number of them will need to respond to personal or family challenges connected with dealing with COVID-19. So we would please ask that you understand the challenging environment in which we are all working. If you do go in-store and want to say thank you, then I'm sure they'd appreciate it.’

Low paid shop workers are now relied upon and appreciated. Who’d have thought that before?

I would call the day before or days before to confirm they’re store is doing this and at which times.

All the supermarkets:

Iceland are opening one or two hours early for the elderly – find which store is doing this here

Sainsburys are opening their doors to the elderly and vulnerable customers ONLY today (Thursday, March 19)

Morrisons will use 9am to 10am every day from Monday to Saturday to provide more help to the elderly and vulnerable customers

Lidl are allowing only the pensioners in for the first two hours in all stores across Ireland – but have not replicated in England, Wales or Scotland so far

Tesco are opening the store to just over-65s and their carers for the first hour in Ireland – they have yet to repeat this across the UK
(Looks to have changed so obviously phone before)
