I don't remember WE on here vocally backing MPs to vote for May's deal at the time....but maybe I missed it. This is more likely a case of remainer's remorse......bet it all on black and it came out red.

There was ample opportunity for those on the Remain side to compromise yet they went for broke. Yes the ERG group also weren't very flexible but there were enough votes that a sensible deal would have sidelined them. And let us not forget there was a moment when Johnson lost his court case and the opposition parties discussed forming a government of unity to oust him. They blew it because of selfish political and personal reasons allowing Johnson to call a GE which was then game over.

It was take May's deal or take the consequences....whether that was no deal or remain or anything else.
