I'm frustrated at Roy's lack of ability or want to change a system mid game. 20k people shouting for a sub and roy cant see it. Are they all naive or is roy deaf.

Roy will never change and his methods are successful to meet the expectations of the board and owners. That’s it. Despite the better than usual transfer window, I read we spent the 18th highest on transfer fees (brighton 19th, Burnley 20th) this window. That tells you everything, just stay up is must with a cash flow like ours. The point regarding 20k fans shouting. No manager is going to be influenced by fans during a game. If he/she was, then they wouldn’t be a top flight manager for very long. Although, it would make for a great post match interview.

Far too exciting for us. Look at how Villa thrashed Liverpool. How Leeds are playing. Fast attacking football. Not for the 2 dimensional Palace. We keep men back then rely on fast counter. Not so easy at home. These new young managers are really stirring up the boring football method. Great to watch. Not for us. Boring staid safe. That’s the way. Hope to stay lower mid. I’m sure we will.

You would think Roy had been handed a 20 year contract by the way some of you are carrying on. What do you want ? Roy at his age to go back and learn and how to play football like Bielsa?

No, a new manager to come in and coach like Bielsa Succession planning is important but with dysfunctional board little chance of attracting anyone in the class of Bielsa, the best you could hope for to succeed Roy when the times comes would be someone like Rooney who is desperate for a break to prove himself!

Not many clubs have had a successful succession planning strategy. Man United have never replaced Ferguson Arsenal may or may not have replaced Wenger and how many managers did Liverpool go through before Klopp? I think the best you can hope for is to pick the best available manager at the time and then hope to god you get it right.

I'm not advocating Roy out, because as you say, he's meeting his expectations... but when we're 2-0 down at 50-60 Mins, It would be nice if he show some attacking intent and (for example) take off a DM, and put of an AM, or CF, rather than like-for like? is he that worried about goal difference?
