Its amazing when a new manager comes in, it seems players are suddenly awesome. Roy has never brought players as happens in many clubs, the board decide who they want and give them to the manager, i.e. Roy to integrate into the team. trouble is how many players did Roy actually give a proper chance to in the right positions. The team is a reflection of the manager, where are we with Roy? Eddie Howes players provided to him were selected by analytic staff analysing data of players, just like Brentford do. As for Chelsea, did Lamps really buy those players or they were given to him and said fit them in.....?

To be fair, you have no idea of the recruitment policy at Palace and what analysis is performed on prospective targets. Brentford are in an entirely different market to us. It would be interesting to see how their ' Moneyball ' tactics fare if they start recruiting players at Premier level. Brentford are in an entirely different market to us. It would be interesting to see how their ' Moneyball ' tactics fare if they start recruiting players at Premier level.
