follow the link. And our resident lefties, on here, go suspiciously quiet when confronted with some evidence.

Our tax regime is beyond reproach. I pay tax so that Apple doesn't have to. Pretty simple really. The EU love it.
Google are under pressure to change their accounting/ tax avoidance procedures currently. Money goes out somewhere and comes back through head office based in Ireland. A whole host of tech head offices are now in Dublin. Kind of a new shiny city within the city.
It's called the 'double Irish': which means something else in most pubs. The loophole will likely get closed by the Germans eventually - they have ways of making you tax.

The tax aspect is of course pertinent however it wasn't the basis of my point.

Ireland was a socially conservative country only twenty or so years ago and yet the change in governmental, media and corporate led culture has been full force on feeding it 'social justice' and 'diversity'.

When a small country like Ireland makes a compact with far leftist companies like Facebook and Google, they are required to adjust their society in turn.

Open their legs as it were and take the soy.

If you're an average working class white in an Irish city just trying to get on....these next years will be a betrayal....as they have been elsewhere.

the pendulum has swung from hardcore Catholic conservative to Multiculti-globohomo in the blink of the eye.

The fact is that minutes before George Nkencho got shot , for attacking the cops with a machete, he hospitalised an openly Gay shop-assistant.

This has made the media story all the more difficult for the propaganda-media to put a spin on.

A lot of the changes in Ireland, I agree with. The church was too powerful here. However, there is an element of society here who think they are morally superior to everyone - usually the posh middle class ones on social media.
I also believe Ireland needed a bit of diversity, as it was only a couple of decades ago that a black person, honestly, could not walk down the street without everyone staring. It sounds ridiculous but true.
I do, however, have an issue with unfettered immigration, and the welfare aspects of Ireland. Tax is high for me, much higher than any of you would find acceptable. Yet, get deported from England then come to Ireland (which thousands are doing) and somehow get a free house, a couple of hundred a week, free this, free that. We're an easy ride and everyone knows it. We're probably too desperate to look cool after being probably one of the least cool countries for years.
There are issues coming to Ireland, or brewing in Ireland currently, that have probably been in other countries for years. Of course, we haven't learnt anything from the experience of anyone else. Our government and media feed us with the best little country in the world narrative. A bit like the one Britain used to have about thirty years ago.
Everything's green, nationalism is not really a dirty word here, and Sinn Fein will probably form the next government. I'm afraid I can't entirely tell the future. Our biggest problem is housing. We basically built none, I'm well off enough, but if I had to rent even I would have to make savings. We're talking London prices without the services.
Specifically, for changes I'm pro choice, for example, I realise you are largely anti abortion - I respect that difference. I also think it's fine if gays want to marry but I do dislike all this gender changing rubbish. There is not exactly one overall feeling in Ireland. Corkery would be a good one to comment - he's probably closer to Ireland's mainstream than I am. As I was born in London and am frankly a Londoner, then I am always called a Tan b****** anyway! (Black and Tans). I've only been here 22 years now - so a blow in.

There was a time when I was more of a default conservative.....But I broke with it when Cameron and May surrendered their social policy to the left....that's what modern conservatism became, pro choice, pro gay marriage and pro diversity, feminism and all the rest of it.

Not much actual conserving in the conservatives anymore.

You say not being modern isn't cool but what I'd say is that if the last thirty years have taught me anything here in England it's that the slippery slope argument is real.

You can't be a little bit, 'diversity'. It's all or nothing. Once the numbers reach a set point the Irish will be getting the rioting as well as the 'racism' BS....and the statues will be coming down along with all the 'decolonizing' rubbish. They will lose their cities as well.

It's the same with immigration....it's all or nothing....once the primacy of the home national is gone so does the nation. It's only a matter of time.

That's something I've learnt....essentially, the nature of these things are binary....what you don't fight for you will lose.

And it'll all be supported and implemented by the elitist cucks....which is why I give the advice to working class Irish whites to think of their future....because your leaders won't be putting you..the actual Irish...first.

The sooner syphillis cnut fcuks off(May?) the better.

Yeah, a while back I remember seeing an Irish lad being beaten up on video while his 'imports' justified it to him for slavery.....about as dim as it gets.

His blood, and the blood of many more to come, are on the hands of the 'progressives' with their bs oppression narrative and ideology.

As much as I share your sentiment...and believe me, I'm angry about the political cowardice that bought us here...but Khan isn't going nowhere.

Demographics is destiny and London fell some time ago.

Detroit is a good example....it didn't matter how far it fell from its previous wealth, the demographic shift meant that they would always vote the same way.

Khan will stand again without a doubt.

You will get another four years without a doubt.

The people to blame for it all are many and decades off the scene.....though in the future their disenfranchised descendants will come to despise them and I imagine their memorials will require protection.

The fact that London is only an English city in name now is an utter unforgivable betrayal.

Khan will win in London again and he knows his voters. People who loathe things like BLM and the EU are not going to vote for him anyway. I loathe the man but also respect him in terms of political nous. A definite 'player' and probably the most dangerous Labour politician at the moment in any position of real power. Hence why the Tories have taken Covid as an opportunity to take to shackle him.

His doubling down on BLM and the EU makes perfect political sense for him.

And he serves a wider purpose. Because he is living proof that when you let a 'progressive' run anything they f*** it up. Much like Corbyn he can pile up votes in safe areas but is also unlikely to win over the people Labour need to if they are ever to get back into power.

The Mayor of London essentially only really has TFL as their single avenue of any real influence. And that is on its knees. The Home Office control the Met and local councils are limited in terms of their tax-raising ability.

Labour, and the Left in general, are just s*** at running things with proof abounding across the UK with perhaps a single notable exception. Preston. Some interesting Left wing approaches in that part of the world.
