Might I respectfully suggest that instead of quoting wise words from a deep thinker, valuable though they undoubtably are, that you quietly reflect upon them yourself. Should you do so, you will perhaps realise how relevant they are to you.

Which was should Trump, hypothetically, still be President, then his ratings would have continued to plummet. Those in the seat are judged on what they actually do, which is often restricted by events and others, whilst those who are not can paint beautiful pictures of how wonderful it would be, if only.........

Add to that the level of misinformation that circulates these days, which Trump harvested to his benefit and continues to do, and you end up where we are. A huge divide, unheard of levels of distrust and people believing the untrue and not the true. Putin must be laughing his socks off at how easy it has been.

This guy carries on and on about Trump......has anyone told him yet that he isn't in power.

It's not about which is the biggest liar....if they were ruling as two presidents perhaps it would be a relevant conservation...and unlike you with Biden I can freely admit that Trump lies and distorts and I say and criticise him for it.....but let's get it right, Trump only exists as a kingmaker in Republicanism...he isn't in charge running America. Constantly bringing him up, in relation to Biden's policies, a year after he's left office is pointless distraction.

Also no, I don't regard people who disagree with me as liars....Where on earth do you get that from? If I think someone is a liar I point it out. I maintain back and forth with people I disagree with and I don't spend my time calling them liars because, by and large, they aren't. You however are a clear liar and I'm hardly the only one to point that out.

Whether I agree with someone or not I value honesty and, in my view, society is much the poorer for it when it trades genuine speech for a disingenuous version.

You had no need to respond to my original speculation, but you did and did so erroneously.

I never held up Trump's ratings as being evidence for anything, other than those being his ratings. Him doing a terrible job was evidenced every day by Trump himself. Nothing else required.

Trump doesn't just lie. He has no concept of what truth actually is, and simply regards his opinion as the truth. He holds other opinions in contempt and bullies, then fires anyone in his orbit who dares to disagree. Just look at the list of people who came and went in his administration. Anyone half decent, who was not already a close associate, got fired after criticising something. The only ones who survived were those who were already beholden to him and just the yes men he craves.

Look at the books which have been written by those he fired and the accounts of the bullying, lying and crass decision-making.

Trying to establish any kind of equivalence between Trump and Biden is a sad joke. Biden might be ineffective and potentially senile, but he isn't a criminally inclined, reality TV star, bully and serial liar.

You’re right it is a sad joke. An ineffectual and potentially senile person is a better option because he lies less often. Who would trust him to run a bath let alone a country?
