Those who decided not to put others first deserve nothing but the contempt I feel for them. In every thread. I have no idea at the moment what we might find in Cali. I will be in Oakland as a base, but would hope to go down south for a while.

I supply merchandise to the Silver & Black Empire who are a NYC based Las Vegas Raiders supporters club (it was the Oakland Raiders)once a year around 3/400 of them make a weekend of it and go site seeing, have a charity dinner & obviously take in the game.

I believe you. You admit to being selfish and take pride in it. Your politics are not just the polar opposite of mine. They are the polar opposite of most. Which I give thanks for, as that means they are destined to remain in the shadows where they belong. I have no clear idea where our politics will be 5 years from now. I am though 100% certain that the mini swing to the right that we witnessed during Brexit/Trump has disappeared and won't be returning during my lifetime. I am as equally certain that won't stop people like you denying it.

In terms of politics in the last sixty years we have had mostly conservative governments. The majority of them were far more to the right than your views. I would have agreed with most of their politics up to Cameron. However, what the majority want and what they actually get in political representation is something else. For most of last century the public wanted capital punishment yet none of its elected parties would pass it...they wanted Brexit, but were denied a vote for decades and only given one out of desperation...they have always wanted lower immigration but none of the parties have lowered it....increased it in fact and then lied to them about reducing it......I could go on but I'm getting tired.
