Perhaps forcing people to live their principles is wrong....but it would certainly be a better, more honest world if they did.

No it's not.

Egalitarians don't even notice such things, let alone care about them, or consider them as a motivation.

Only people who are obsessed about skin colour think it so important that it must be involved in every decision someone else makes.

If the people of south London all lived in Cornwall, and behaved as the Cornish do, showing tolerance and respect for each other, then why would the colour of their skins matter? I no more love diversity than hate it. I ignore it. I accept what is, and judge people as individuals, and not by labels attached to them by others.

As honest as Biden.

Watch what people do, not what they say.

South London? Say what you like about North, West and East but leave us out of it.

Thank you.

Resilience is an attribute I learned as a teenager. It has served me well throughout my life and continues to do so as the aches and setbacks of increasing age creep up. Dealing with the xenophobes who populate this place is a piece of cake compared to other things.

You say that as if being a xenophobe is bad. It's not illegal and its not a racist trait. It's a self protection mechanism.
If I want to trust my own people whether black or white who's to tell me I shouldn't. Go to East London or Luton or Blackburn. Those areas are rife with it so it can't be that bad to be one.

The World is full of people telling us how to live, what to think and why weíre wrong - all from a place or a position where they are not living the reality. I also judge people as individuals, which is why I would never generalise and compare the behaviour of one Ďgroupí - say the Cornish, with another - say those from South London. Quite obviously the demographics/needs and requirements of the locations are totally different.

As far as left v right is concerned there are some utter nutters lurking on the extremities of both and it is both of these extremities whose voices are too loud and need to quietened down.

I explained only a few days ago the reasons why I came to live in Cornwall, and they have nothing at all to do with the colour of people's skin. It's not something I ever think about. I care about character and behaviour.

Now try hard to remember that. If you cannot, ask your GP for some Donepezil. It can help people like you.

Classy.

You have strong views on mixing cultures and immigration and yet you live where there is very little.
You might well like your views and walks, but you are in no position to tell people who live in areas that have suffered the consequences of an influx of foreigners why they are wrong to complain about it.

As the definition of a xenophobe is always negative, for example "one unduly fearful of what is foreign and especially of people of foreign origin", I think you are being somewhat disingenuous. Not being illegal doesn't mean it isn't undesirable or unhealthy.

I don't think I have any particular views on mixing cultures. I have strong views on those who seem to believe it's important to restrict mixing cultures. I simply wish to see things develop naturally, allowing what's valuable to be valued and what isn't to be disregarded.

Immigration has always happened. Every one of us is partly the product of immigration, and our culture too has been modified and expanded because of it.

It has also always been objected to by the xenophobes. That we now face specific issues that terrify some isn't new. In the past, people felt just as threatened and that their situation outweighed anything that had gone before.

New immigrants always tend to go to places where there is work available and an established support network. Nothing new there either. Cornwall has high unemployment, especially off season, so those looking for well paid year round work don't tend to drift here, but that doesn't mean we don't have our share of immigrants. The health service here would collapse without them.

Walk around Bethnal Green drunk and drinking a beer at midnight. See what is unduly fearful about others from a foreign origin. Sharia law is wanted by many and I am fearful of that, and not unduly so!
