All Managers make bad signings always assuming it was them that signed them We have had a few who seemed great on the face of it - most recently Benteke, Sakho and Myer Total outlay £60m to buy and an average of £300k/week between them in wages. Eddie Howe for me. He is young, positive and wants to move onwards and upwards.

Bruce is another one, who likes to ditch clubs for greener pastures.

If you take Burnley out of this equation, as one position in isolation shouldn't be used as 'the norm'.

At the end of the day the only question that matters is is Howe a better man for the job than Hodgson and in my opinion the answer is no. I’d rather we kept Hodgson.

I think that one has to take into account the trajectory of both of those managers, and the trajectory of the club, and what the next 3-years are going to look like. Either way Hodgson isn't going to be around for much longer and we need to be looking at his successor. If people are averse to unproven managers at Prem level then we're still going to be talking about the same potential replacements in 1-2-year's time.

We have to change the they way we approach games and that means a mindset that we go out to cause teams problems - not simply how can we stop the opposition from playing.

If my memory serves me right, the Burnley side that stuffed us at SP last month actually had an older average age than our Dad's Army and that's saying something. Not sure what Dyche's record with younger players is like. No doubt someone will shoot me down.

I have a slight preference for Howe as I think he has the better credentials when it comes to working with younger players and a more attractive playing style.
