Your disproportionate cynicism knows no bounds, does it?

How long do the pieces stay on the plinth? Only a few months, I think. I think you can be reasonably confident that a few "generic Northern Europeans" will still be around when it's replaced.

Yes, you are right for the first time today. Well done.

Although at this rate, they might not see too many more statues.

If unmade beds can be art, and a canvas just painted blue can fetch millions, why not? It's every bit as valid. Go claim your prize.

Problem is my name isn’t Klein or Emin so my creation would be dismissed out of hand. Theirs on the other hand is Art. Or a load of old Jackson Pollocks.

Four found not guilty of pulling down Edward Colston statue (they never denied it).

God help us.

I am on a South London jury in a few weeks time assuming I don't get kicked off. I cannot understand how the jury let them off it was criminal damage which they admitted. Chances are the judge would have fined them, end of.

I have a sneaky feeling I will be as popular on the jury as a turd in a swimming pool.

A complete miscarriage.

Whoever is responsible for that jury needs to be fired.

These vandals should be rearrested and made to pay for that damage.

Anyone who isn't already aware of what's been happening in our courts only needs to look at this.

Just more proof, if it were needed, that there is no real future for the West surviving as a single entity. There needs to be a divide between people who support this verdict and those of us who cannot do anything but shake our heads.

There is no middle ground anymore. Only a binary decision between Traditionalism and Progressivism. Not even really Left or Right anymore.

We are 'Birds on the same twig', A complete miscarriage of justice and those on the jury who found them 'Not guilty' need to hang their heads in shame. Not all agreed and the judge accepted a majority verdict.

Abhorrent and disgusting behaviour which went unpunished.I have been molten with anger, coils of smoke rising from my head.

With full justification.

I've never seen this kind of judgement is an English court before....where you can cause criminal damage and walk away from it because of your politics.

Does that mean I can walk into a bank and liberate the people's money from the capitalist pigs?

Imagine going up to the Communist party headquarters in London and saying, 'because the communists are responsible for the deaths of hundreds of millions of people last century I'm going to damage this building'.....and then doing it and a jury letting you off scott free.

If they let this stand it sets a precedence because people can point to a political double standard.

It has happened quite a few times, especially recently. I believe the people who smashed windows during Climate protests were also cleared (although I am not 100% sure if that was by a jury or not)

Apparently, if you dress really badly and come across as a Corbyn fanperson you can pretty much do what you like.

Oh yes, I remember that...you're right.

I'm flabbergasted.
