US presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr.....(not sure if he's running as an independent or challenging Biden) spoke frankly about his ideas and latterly the events in Ukraine on Fox News. I was quite impressed personally and for those who watch the clip his comments on Ukraine come later in the video. On Ukraine, he questioned why the US was there and its real motives. In particular, he spoke about the dishonesty that abounds over this war. That's one of the most important aspects for me because while I acknowledge that deception is a part of military tactics I don't accept that this is ever something that should be accepted for the general public to justify policy....lying without accountability in public office should be taken seriously and not with a nod and a wink....it should require a very high bind.....to loosen that bind just encourages the very worst kind of people....and they are always the type who want power. Whenever lying is used to shape public opinion free societies need the questions to be asked and a route open for accountability and answers......unfortunately as we saw with Iraq and others accountability doesn't happen...which can lead people to their own conclusions. Anyway Kennedy made a claim....I don't know if it's true or not but here it is. 'No one talks about it, but 14,000 Ukrainian civilians, 300,000 military personnel died. Russians kill Ukrainians in the ratio of 7 to 1 or 8 to 1. What we are being told about this war is not true' Kennedy said. I think we can definitely say that his last sentence is true. It reminds one of the First World War, trench warfare and Russians marching towards enemy fire and death, like the Somme, for very little gain in the Donbass. Approx 100 years ago and mankind has learnt very little if we think that this is in any way sensible. And its not a given that they will see the senselessness of it all, it may be quite the opposite with Russian graveyards overflowing and even more patriotic fervour with right on our side etc. The Russian mind, don't attempt to understand it.

It's clear from significant missile attacks by Russia and reports by them that Ukraine are retreating from Bakhmut that they think the Ukrainian counter offensive is imminent.....I'm hearing within 48 hours. Who knows but we will certainly find out shortly.

Prigozhin of Wagner announces that Russia have taken Bakhmut. The war continues to escalate and I'm actually prepping for the worst at the moment while hoping for the best.

'Bakhmut completely destroyed'. And what has that achieved, exactly? Its quite a sight, reminiscient of WW2, the futility of it gets you. China does have an initiative but it does involve Zelensky ceding territory.
