I'm astonished by that figure, even with the question mark after it. If it's even half true, it sounds as if an investigation by the Competition and Markets Authority is urgently needed.

Thanks for posting that. I suppose I should have realised that you were referring to clubs with American shareholders as well as those which are wholly owned by Americans. Nevertheless a bit of an eye opener, and, as you suggested, not a welcome development. It's all a far cry from when Bob Lord - owner of a chain of local butchers' shops - was Chairman of Burnley in the early sixties, when they were one of the top clubs in the country.

They've kept us going which is much appreciated, and Parish has steered the ship brilliantly. But I am not convinced about our current American shareholders. Harris and Blitzer were trying for Chelsea bur weren't rich enough. Now they are looking at Liverpool.
They clearly have lost their appetite for SE25. As for Texter, well he is in the game of securing as many clubs as possible around the globe, and he is certainly getting some good clubs. I don't understand his plan, but he is a trader of companies. Look at Fubo and you will see what I mean.
Texter has put some hard cash in and apparently he has got more. Not sure where his funds are coming from as his net worth was nearly all shown as coming from Fubo which has collapsed. But he is still out there trying to secure more clubs.
This January will be a big test to see if these guys have got any appetite to chuck some more cash at us.
We have to be a very good bet right now for investors, especially after the resounding financial success of the world cup. Bournemouth went for £100m and Liverpool have multiplied by ten in the last ten years to $3.5 billion. We must be worth at least £250m million.
Loads of the corporate boys would love our revenue stream of £120m p.a.
Im sure there will be more Arab consortiums heading west soon.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stole Newcastle at £300m and who would ever have thought Amanda Staively would deliver in such sterling fashion? She has amazed many critics, myself included. Hats off to her extraordinary talent. Bringing in Eddie Howe was a masterly move and has he performed. They could easily be champions league next season.
The doors are wide open for more investment in the premier mid range clubs. We are standing out like a sore thumb right now, well ironically us and Brighton, but our catchment area and proven crowd growth is off the scale. The opportunities with us now we have got PV are huge. Wilf would be crazy to go.!!

We're valued at around £280 million I believe, so you're about right. It would be nice to buy a few players but I wouldn't be comfortable being Newcastle. That's as fake as Man City or PSG. Palace are never likely to be that anyway: just never quite happens for us.
