Our ownership seems rubbish, quite frankly. We need someone who wants to flash the cash

You for real, these are the best owners we have ever had, and all this nonsense “splash the cash”, we now have a fantastic academy, 10 plus years a premier side, a new stand on its way, brilliant owners, i have been going to Selhurst for 60 plus years, i repeat they are the very best we have ever had, SUPPORT them

I'd far rather support the club than some Americans trying to make a profit or some guy trying to make a footballing empire with us not at the top of it.

I'm aware of that, but that doesn't mean they couldn't afford to buy them.

As I understand it, Eagle Football Inc (Textor) owns 40% of Palace. Harris and Blitzer through their holding companies just shy of that say 36%. Parish has approx 20% and Franco c.4%.
So Eagle Holdings own a minority stake in us as do Harris and Blitzer.
I picked up this quote from Texter on completing the deal of Lyon....
.....When the deal was announced Textor said: “Olympique Lyonnais will be the cornerstone of our project. I intend, with the support of Jean-Michel and his teams, to bring out the values of development and self-improvement for which I have always been committed.”
Im assuming he is talking about Eagle's stable of soccer clubs.
So neither Eagle nor Harris and Blitzer have a majority share in us.
Maybe you could give me your opinion of where you think all this could possibly be heading. As you rightly pointed out of course Harris single handedly has the wealth to have bought Chelsea, just not convinced he wanted to be that deep in. Maybe you or anyone else who is aware of this situation could enlighten me.

So, from what I understand ;

1. The 2010 consortium as a group were not in it for the long haul
2. When the other three members decided to sell their shares, Parish needed to find not just replacements but people willing to further invest in the club.
3. A caveat to any prospective investors was that Parish would remain in charge of running the club.
4. Plenty of offers were forthcoming but only Harris and Blitzer were identified as being suitable. Even then Parish had to win them back after they initially cooled in their interest.
5. Harris and Blitzer were reported to want to sell their shares some years back, pre Textor and Chelsea sale days.
6. Textor is not unique in owning a portfolio of clubs, but how he intends to make it work remains to be seen. The only tangible events have been the loans of O'Brien and Plange to his Belgian club.

Clarity that I would like is ;

1. I thought the Harris and Blitzer original £100m investment had been ' ring fenced ' for stadium development - that seems to have dropped off the radar ;

2. If there are indeed any benefits in being part of Textor's Eagle Group.

Perhaps this explains why he is so keen on us taking the new Brazilian 18yo superstar that apparently all the top clubs in Europe want to sign?

Or is it a case of him trying to flog an over hyped asset to a bunch of mugs so he can pay the wage bill.

I hope I am wrong on all of this but I did warn this type of thing might happen.

Interesting seeing Textor pushing a player - Warnock faced it all his life from Directors/Owners telling him whom he WILL get & not get !

Directors are pushing money around clubs in this manner could it be considered as Laundering in some way or Dumping in another ? It’s all about Trading right

Just in football a director can own a number of clubs under a number of businesses & his co investors & non execs - Very dirty business going on in the scheme of things
where sooner or later that a law suit will be slapped on a poor deal.

Then it will snow ball into a book & a movie / documentary- Footballs house of cards like FIFA & government deals

Let’s see Harris Textor Blitzer the there amigos pants down

I think we would be the top of the four, OLs squad is worth less than us, and the money generated in the Premiership per club dwarfs the French league, it seems a good idea on paper, four teams who can swap players between clubs at reduced fees, lets see if it works in real life.

Very true, but It's going to be relatively easy certainly compared to Palace to get a Champion's League berth with OL.

Im far from convinced about one person or company, owning a whole load of different football clubs. FIFA should be having a close look at what is developing.It is not allowed at National level and globally the sport is constantly coming closer together. How would it be if Palace come up against Lyonnais in Europe for instance. Definite clash of interest in my opinion. Textor has a 40% share in Palace.
Group ownership of clubs could get messy. Lack of wages news coming from Botafago. Not good.
Our American investors Harris and Blitzer are considering a move for Liverpool so they would have to sell their stake in Palace.
I am not sure where Textor is heading now. Are there funds available for Palace in the transfer window?.

The Saudi PIF got a steal on Newcastle at £300m.
How can Chelsea be worth THIRTEEN times Newcastle? Its laughable.
Todd Boehly joined up with Clearlake Capital Group, Swiss billionaire Hansjörg Wyss and American billionaire Mark Walter to pay $5.4 billion (c.£4 billion) for it.

Bournemouth cost £120m this year

Liverpool is up for grabs at £3.5 billion.
Man Utd north of £5 billion.

I can see more activity at Selhurst before long. Will be interesting to see where Eagle Football Inc. is heading and what develops with the acquisition of Liverpool.
