I would also note that even though me and you and matov etc are on totally opposite sides of the river about Ukraine there is no sniping. You guys rightly or wrongly imho have your opinion and I have mine along with the flag. This could be the end for all of us but civility and understanding of different opinions doesn’t alter the respect for the poster. I am not talking any male. I am talking about transgenders, who aren't male. They are females trapped inside male bodies.

Punishing them and putting them at risk by forcing them to use make facilities would do nothing at all to stop the real male pests from doing what you suggest they are doing. If they are determined to dress and behave as a woman, how on earth do you think it can be stopped. In fact, my suggestion of ID cards might help everybody, but it has so far been ridiculed.

No-one wants any woman to feel threatened, so why are you prepared to send transgendered women into threatening situations?

I would say that it's more noticeable that only people on the centre right challenge those, such as yourself, on the hard right here. There is almost no-one from the left posting here. Occasionally someone drifts past, gets abused, and gives it up as a lost cause. There's little point in those of the left banging their fists on these doors. They are locked solid.

Those in the centre, like me, want to reclaim the heart of conservatism and return it to the decent, caring, responsible movement I used to admire. The last thing I want to see is that it lunges even further to the right. Johnson was bad enough, Truss is much worse, but I sense even the Tory faithful are having second thoughts. Hopefully that will consign the hard right fringe even further to the margins. This fringe has always existed. It just has more opportunity to make a lot of noise these days. Whereas in the past, they were restricted to small meetings in dusty village halls, or the corners of dubious pubs, these days they can find each other in places like this. So long as it hurts no-one, no harm is done I suppose, but making sure the casual reader understands that these ideas are challenged seems important. At least to me.
