It wouldn't be any surprise frankly. A lot of people think it no doubt but the truth won't be known for some time - if ever.

Indeed, I'm reminded about the sinking of the lusitania in the first world war. The Germans warned that they would sink this ship, saying they would sink it because it was carrying ammunition and for passengers to stay away. The Americans denied that anything untoward was happening.....Well, we all know what happened next.

The story that the Germans had sunk an passenger liner for no purpose was put out for decades. The Germans were called liars and no one official ever said differently.

However, a few years ago newly released records show that....indeed, the Liner was carrying plenty of ammunition. That was just yet another thing that p1ssed me off..they put those people in deliberate danger and then lied about it...then they allowed that lie to exist in the public consciousness for generations with everybody implicated in it long dead....some might say it was originally done for an excuse to enter the war but that's speculation.

Essentially you cannot trust a government as lying is their default...You cannot trust organisations or anyone where self interest is involved...and even when it isn't you sometimes get pathological liars and the generally twisted who will deceive as that is their nature.

Trust should always be earned not given.

With Easter approaching, we should remember the 21 April 2019, Easter Sunday, attacks carried out in Sri Lanka by followers of the ‘peaceful religion’. Three churches and three hotels were bombed as well as a housing complex and a guest house.

A total of 269 people were killed and 500 were injured. The church bombings were carried out during Easter services.

A poignant point.

Meanwhile, in France,....

France's prime minister says a teenage girl will be sued by the state for falsely accusing her headteacher of striking her in a heated exchange over her wearing an Islamic head-covering.

The headteacher insisted that the pupil remove her head-covering inside the school, in accordance with French law.

He resigned after death threats circulated on social media.

The Islamist threat to French schools is taken extremely seriously since the murder of two teachers.

Samuel Paty was decapitated on the street in a Paris suburb in 2020 and Dominique Bernard was killed at his school in Arras five months ago." (BBC website)

“How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property – either as a child, a wife, or a concubine – must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the faith: all know how to die but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient Rome.”
[Winston Churchill, The River War]

A presenter for a London-based Iranian TV news channel has been repeatedly stabbed outside his home in the city, his channel has said.

Iran International, which reported extensively in 2022 on anti-government protests in Iran, said Pouria Zeraati, 36, was attacked by a group.

Commander Dominic Murphy, head of the Met's counter-terrorism command unit, said officers were keeping an open mind as to any motivation behind the attack. I expect he is looking at (or for the existence of) far right groups first.)

Several people have been taken hostage at a popular cafe in an eastern Dutch town, police said.

The man entered the premises of Café Petticoat, in Ede, early in the morning threatening to blow himself up, local media reported.

Police confirmed three people have been released, but said the "situation is not over yet".

Residents in about 150 homes around the area have been evacuated and the town centre has been closed down.

There was no indication of a terrorist motive at this time, according to police. Yeah, right.
