Rot. Have you seen his performances for Chelsea? Benteke is a target man low on confidence. I genuinely think eder is the answer to unlock his potential

Low on confidence -Low on work rate that's why I have no sympathy for him.

Totally agree Coulsdon, this poster is seriously getting on my t*** with his nonsense stats. What makes it worse he thinks he knows better than those that go to the games week in week out.

You're getting agitated for no reason. It was a stupid thing to say that Bats has been crap for Chelski.
Someone had to say it to him

Seriously?

Chelsea fans who go week in week out think he's been awful, commentators & pundits think he's been awful & his manager thinks he often doesn't warrant a start even when he has no other striker to play. How on earth does that make CE's opinion 'stupid'?

You need to stop believing that stats tell the whole story and, more importantly, stop being unnecessarily rude to other posters. Please.

Show me a Chelsea fan or a pundit who has said this. I think you're mixing up players or don't know who Batsuahyi is. No Chelsea fan would say that about the man who has bailed them out in the 90th minute against Atletico Madrid just a few months ago. It's an unanimous consensus that he hardly plays and Conte has something against him. Most Chelsea fans agree that he deserves more playing time. Of course, as Conte has won them the league last year, there are also some that go something like "I trust in Conte", but without saying anything bad about Bats

Meh.

I know at least 6 Chelsea ST holders who go home & away, week in, week out & they are all of the same opinion - he just isn't good enough.

To quote a few pundits/journos:

“It was a golden opportunity for Batshuayi to stake a claim for a first-team spot in the absence of summer arrival Alvaro Morata, who is out injured, but he failed to make an impact and was substituted off after just 57 minutes.
Conte has already warned him he faces competition from winger Eden Hazard and his performance on Saturday wouldn't have done him any favours.
'I said a couple of weeks ago that Batshuayi should be very disappointed that he [Conte] would rather put Hazard up there,' Wright said.
'The problem I have got with him is he is not working defenders hard enough to get some space to get a chance in the box, that's what he needs. He needs to make movements to get this space.
'When you watch him he doesn't move. His movement just doesn't have enough intensity about it, there's nothing in it. There were some fantastic balls [against Crystal Palace] but he was too late for many of them.
Wright outlined the main difference between the strikers is Abraham's movement is better
'That's what he has to do, he has to earn the space. When you look at the movement he does there's nothing in it. Those are the things where you're going to get goals if you're willing to put the work in.
'I think when a ball comes across you have just got to be willing to gamble and work hard to get the space, if he wants goals he's going to have to start working harder.”

“The Premier League champions are in the midst of a mini-crisis after successive defeats and an injury to top scorer Alvaro Morata. There are also serious questions about Morata’s understudy Michy Batshuayi ahead of their Champions League clash with Roma on Wednesday.
‘There is obviously Batshuayi but I don’t think Conte trusts him. The fact he had [Eden] Hazard on in the Man City game [at Stamford Bridge on 30 September] instead of Batshuayi, Conte doesn’t seem to have great faith in him.’ Morata was on target when Chelsea beat Atletico Madrid in their previous Champions League game Batshuayi’s poor performance at the weekend came under scrutiny after Chelsea fell to a shock 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace. But Sutton feels the Belgian deserves some sympathy with Conte failing to instil him with the confidence he needs. ‘I think he probably feels that Conte doesn’t rate him that highly,’. ‘In the game against Man City, putting Hazard on, you have to say at the weekend he looked short on confidence. A couple of times this season he hasn’t looked high on confidence and he’s not playing regularly.’”
MICHY BATSHUAYI isn’t good enough to be starting for Chelsea at the moment.
That’s according to BBC pundit Alan Shearer.
The Belgian striker started for the Blues in their FA Cup replay against Norwich this evening and bagged his 10th goal of the season when he opened the scoring after the break.
The 24-year-old has been linked with moves to Sevilla and West Ham this month as Antonio Conte reportedly doesn’t think he’s good enough to deputise for Alvaro Morata.
And Shearer agrees with the Italian, insisting that Batshuayi didn’t offer enough to prove his worth for Chelsea.
“Confidence is a huge thing in football as we know,” he said.
This guy hasn’t got any whatsoever. I know he’s not playing enough games and for a striker it’s an absolute nightmare.
“But when he gets his opportunity like he has tonight, he’s got to do more.
“There seems to be a lack of urgency about him, he’s got to be stronger there. He’s the guy up front his team are looking to build off.
“That’s a decent run, that’s what he’s got to do more of.
“They (Norwich) are playing quite a high line despite playing three at the back and there is space for him to do that and he’s not doing it often enough.
“At the minute he’s not asking enough questions of the defenders and they’re finding to too easy marking him because of a poor touch.”

As I've said numerous times, get your facts right, not your stats. Lazy comments & rebuffs made without actually checking the ground upon which you stand.

Pretty conclusive.

To add even further, one quick look on the Chelsea forum would show that they think very little of him; [Link]

"Show me a Chelsea fan or pundit who has said this" seems a laughable comment now.

THERE IS NOTHING BAD SAID ABOUT BATSHUAYI IN THE ABOVE BY FANS!

Just skimming through the last 2 pages of your link:

"What's the point in having Michy if the manager is going to look for every excuse not to play him?"

"I noticed this too, Michy is two footed just lacking confidence"

"I thinkMichy's really showed glimpses of just why we paid so much money for him. There's a good player in there somewhere and given Dzeko's age and Morata's questionable form and temperament (let's just say I don't expect him to be here beyond 3 years maximum) Michy could still get chances at Chelsea"

"Certainly shouldn't get rid of Michy permanently. With Conte likely to leave come the end of the season i think Michy could really shine under a new manager. Natural goal scoring ability isn't something that can be taught and Michy is always in the right place."

There, these are the only comments about Batshuayi on the last 2 pages, not a single one being negative.

People at Chelsea are comparing their strikers to Diego Costa, Lukaku, Luis Suarez, Lewandowski, the best in the world. Comments like "Batshuayi isn't quite up to the Chelsea level we want" or "Batshuayi in not as good as Diego Costa" are not reflective on his value. We're talking here about Batshuayi vs Benteke, not why Bats isn't exactly a Champions League winning player.

Not giving Benteke for Batshuayi now, probably the last time in this century that a top 6 team will ask for Benteke, would be madness. Conte is either cocky as hell or mad

You're showing yourself to be a serial liar at this point - from the last page of the thread alone;

'To be fair to Conte, from what he has shown recently you can see why he doesn't want play him. Real shame, as I was hoping he could be the answer, but last night he looked a million miles away from being PL / CL standard'

Your claim was 'show me a Chelsea fan or pundit who has said this' - you've been shown numerous examples now - at least have the decency to admit you were wrong.

Ok, fine, I didn't see 1. I was searching for the word "Michy" on the page and I didn't read it. Easy calling me a liar, but harder to make a point.
I said "show me a fan or critic who has said what couldson had written: THAT BATSHUAYI WAS CRAP".
That is the lie! You are a liar for saying that he was right to say that. Everything you write is with the purpose of lying. Mild criticism from a fan after 1 match doesn't mean ANYONE said that he was CRAP.

CRAP is the word that you could use for describing Benteke's season maybe.
I;m out, I have better time than to argue with fellows who can't distinguish between players like Batshuayi or Benteke. Stick to your fabulous expertise
