I seem to recall that Neil Kinnock had a Curry House incident with a yob and had to vigorously defend himself and rightly so. I don't like TR but I have no problem with what he did or other public figures who have been egged etc. If the people who do this can't take it well then don't dish it out. I'd like to see someone do that to Trump they'll be looking down the barrel of a secret service gun.

I was sent this I don't know much about the organisation but it appears to be the USA equivalent of Migration Watch. Immigration Poverty and Gumballs Only 6 mins and explains why immigration doesn't work.

I heard Eddie Izzard say that we have to spend a lot more resources on making poor countries richer so that they wouldn't want to emigrate......unbelievably I heard May say something similar the other year. Are these people just dim or are they just being disingenuous? Hasn't the evidence been that what happens is that when you make the country richer the emigration rate and number increases because now more can afford to travel to Europe. In other words....I entirely agree with the humanitarianism concept of the stronger helping the weaker. However, without very strong rules on who is allowed to live here.....you essentially set in motion the long term destruction of your own societies....an increasing fragmentation..and then conflict for coming generations.

The way to solve this once and for all is what we should have done hundreds of years ago. We need to disestablish the COE we are the only western democracy with a state religion. Once we have no official religion then you can put the COE and all the other religions on the same footing which is free to worship but have no part in the state. In the past there has been discussion about banning the bishops in the House of Lords and rightly so no other democracy allows the church to interfere in the making of laws. Some of the staunchest defenders of the COE bishops are the other religions because they know that once they go then so do the rest. I feel very strongly on this point we have to separate religion and state as every other democracy does.

Exactly the point the speaker was making the people who emigrate tend to be the best and the brightest which doesn't help their own country. We should help these countries whilst controlling who comes here. Help doesn't always mean giving money I would prefer to help these countries trade their way out of poverty rather than throw money at the problem.
