Given how big the Green Party is becoming, how come the media never mentions them and only occasionally includes them?

They were invited by the BBC but decided the cost in fuel for the journey was counter productive to the environment so took a horse and cart. They're expected at Salford Media Centre any day soon although sighting have been a bit sporadic.

By nature they are ultra liberal so dont have a bad word about mass immigration but why aren't they against the carbon cost of mass immigration or questions the carbon cost of making houses for mass immigration.

It's a bit like Scottish independence I have heard that some Scots would like independence but they don't like the SNP and the brand of independence that brings. It's time some of the other parties started to challenge the greens as the default party for environmental issues. My beef with environmentalists is they are against most energy types and yet in favour of nothing. We can do all do better saving energy but we still need to produce energy without wrecking our economy. To some extent the Greens are getting away with it because they are not yet a major party. I think if some of their policies came under close scrutiny by the electorate they might find themselves losing some support.

They want to free themselves from the UK political union only to tie themselves to the EU political union. That's not real nationalism......that's kind of just being anti English.....(I don't think they really factor in Wales and NI.) If you are a real Scottish nationalist and want independence, then that should mean real political control over your own country and finances. But as we know the the majority of the political class tend to show a love for the taste of gravy.

They obviously listened more carefully than you to the original referendum debate on staying in the EU. It was made clear that ceding some power to the EU would bring greater prosperity and power, net result more power even if eroded by some additional power lying in the EU. But then you weren't around in 1975, so I will let you off.

The great independence party still wants the rest of the UK to bail it out should they get into financial trouble. How is that independence? Whilst I don't like the SNP, because they blame England for policies they are responsible for, they do have a point about Indy2. During the first referendum they were all told vote no to stay in the union and the EU. That and the mess Salmon made over which currency they would use: It's the euro, no pound, no euro (shake it all about) saw the Remainers home. After we have left I do think they deserved another referendum for that reason, it wasn't a slogan on a bus. However if it happens I would ask the SNP everyday what currency will you use and forget about the pound it aint happening. When you divorce someone you don't give them free access to your bank account and credit cards. They need to explain their solution to the Scottish people. By the way if they do vote to leave I know a man who can build us a wall to keep the tartan hordes out. Edited by Badger11 (02 Jun 2019 4.48pm)
