Apologies . I'm glad all went well. Leave things to the NHS and they tend to get on with things.

Don't apologize.

I feel like the Brits can get their act together when the need really arises.
I wonder how many on the left will praise the efficiency of the vaccination program?

We try and get people through in under that time of course if they have the Pfizer they have to wait 15 minutes afterwards.

For those of you still to attend please don't turn up early try to stick to your slot 5 / 10 minutes either way, it helps the staff and smooths the flow of people.

Some times I have had to turn people away because they were way too early always feel bad about that

Make sure you have your registration confirmation (letter, text or email) you may also need you National Health number (not the same as National insurance). It's not a must but if you don't have it they have to look it up. Again this will depend where you go some centres don't need it.

Finally when you are in the queue start removing your coats and outer clothing (decency permitting) this all just makes it quicker for everyone.

Yep. Being prepared helps everyone.

Hello Willo,
I usually enjoy reading your posts, but the one above is a poor showing in my book.
I was there amongst thousands of others today and I 'm not affiliated to any of the groups you mention.
It was a loving peaceful gathering and I'm happy to say the police were decent. I think I only saw two arrests and I was there for about five hours. My feet are killing me!
Try not to judge.
I say this because 100% of the attendees today just want a better future for the young'uns. Without peacefully making their voices heard, they (we) believe that we're all heading for a technocratic prison. In other words by not speaking out, our children will inherit a dystopian nightmarish enslavement. They believe they can change things for the better, not just for themselves but also for you & yours.
Please find it your heart to cut them all a bit of slack.

Well done Lombardinho - good work sir!

I’m sure he’d be prepared to cut them a bit of slack if they were at all bothered about social distancing

Protest should not be constrained but people should be being socially responsible whilst doing so. As always though, most people aren’t in any way responsible.

Did you know? 98.0000001% of people are morons.

On the subject of vaccines, I suspect most of the reprobates protesting today have probably NOT had a jab and it is a real shame that our Police don't act as they have recently done in India, responding with water cannon and tear gas.

In the middle of a public health crisis, so many have sacrificed so much, so many have suffered greatly in various ways yet these agitators believe it is acceptable to attach themselves to protests no matter what the cause.
Step forward 'Reclaim the streets', 'Extinction rebellion' 'BLM' and the left-wing marxists hell-bent on gathering en-masse in the middle of a pandemic for their own political ends.
SHAMEFUL.

Causes me to hyperventilate so I will not comment any further on these shameful and reprehensible scenes.

Agree 100%, This virus needs controlling and at the moment it's rampaging although not so much in our country but everywhere where these same people seem to also think it's safe to travel to, utter morons all of them, we have a huge risk due to the large numbers of people with this virus at the moment with mutations which could quite easily render our vaccine work so far down the sewer, too many ignorant and dumb people walking about.

I could sense the hysteria was building in the last couple of days and I’m now reading it. Does nobody pay attention or understand the numbers, that are falling by the way down to not very many, and the percentages and risk? Seems not. 101 deaths per day and one death on one day in London this week.

The risk is increasing every day that someone will develop a much nastier mutant simply because of the increasing numbers of humans with this virus around the globe, it is not until all the countries are in the same situation we are in now that we'll be able to safely start thinking about going back to normal.

The majority of the people wondering around are not going to be ones necessarily becoming ill and to be putting our NHS under huge strain but they do carry the added risk of spreading this virus around to other innocent people who are staying away and keeping themselves to themselves with the common sense to understand that in doing so they won't put themselves and the NHS into danger, the people protesting are not the reason for the Police being heavy handed.

Exactly I suspect that in the next few months there will be plenty of complaints from people that they have had to cancel their holiday and lost money for one reason or another.

Apparently the government will issue guidance on April 12 about travel. I suspect it will be like last year some countries are no go others you may have to quarantine when you get back and a small handful will be okay.

Even if you can go what will the the quality of the holiday experience be like. This will be purely subjective to the holiday maker. A friend who is a great cruise ship vacationer wont go because the new rules the ship owners have put in place negates the joy of the holiday.

Some people will be fine sitting on a beach or by the pool with only the hotel bar and restaurant open. For me that is boring I want to explore and go places what is the point if they are all closed.

Anyway for those that have already booked good luck for the rest hold fire until April.

One more point

I don't think that's realistic and while desirable it would still take many years before that could happen.

Try being the guy who makes your argument to Boko Haram villages in Nigeria, Chad, Niger and Cameroon that everyone needs to take these new western jabs.....yeah, the fatality risk of being that guy is legions higher than not taking a vaccine.

The reality is that outside of the west the world is very different and operates very differently especially the poorer and less global it is.

It's far more realistic to take other measures before you wait for world wide take up of vaccines.

The actual getting there requires you to sit and or stand quite near to strangers and for well over the allotted risk/safe time of fifteen minutes and all the time you run the higher risk of catching a new nastier variant of this horrible bug rendering the vaccine you've had redundant and useless, we'd all get out of this situation much much quicker if everyone around the whole world just kept themselves to themselves! ..very frustrating it is.

At some point I'd imagine the government going to have to start putting the message out again about risk management.

Before all this madness we could have seasonal flu death totals of what 15,000 a year and no one was batting an eye lid because the media and government weren't scaring them and giving the impression that vaccines could be 'cure alls' for coronaviruses.

So I'm interested in what happens in this regard.

I can see why they are fearful of going down the vaccine passport route....not for any of the liberty concerns that I and others have (though this may be the excuse used) but mainly because of racial realities and cultures on vaccine take up which they don't want to touch with a bargepole.
