Many years ago, probably late eighties/early nineties when there was an influx of Sri Lankans, they used a disused Cross Channel Ferry as a temporary detention location ( can’t remember the name) however it was cast adrift in a storm, so all had to be rescued and it was never used again

There's many more than that who can be trusted not to deliberately wind up their readership and make things worse.

You can target your editorial approach at a particular market but still do it in a trustworthy and responsible way.

The problem with the Mail is that many of it's readers still think it is the serious newspaper it was in my youth.

I don't often look at the DM website but seems to be one of the most popular in terms of views. Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

And who are these outlets that you trust for honesty and objectivity?
The implication here is that the other posters aren't capable of rational thought and will believe everything without hesitation as long as it fits their preconceptions.
