So you think it a possibility that it was considered the ‘long-term route to the best outcome’!

Far from absurd?! It is clearly absurd to try to dress up the police incompetence and disgraceful lack of responsibility in this matter as some sort of cunning plan.

If people can be prosecuted for standing still and silently praying, then surely the police involved in this should be prosecuted for standing silently, ignoring children being raped when they were well aware of it.

Of course they regard their critics' activities as unhelpful – unhelpful to their efforts of covering up their culpability.

I actually believe one of the fathers was arrested for reporting the crimes and following up when nothing happened. So you were actually punished for reporting Muslims.

He was probably silently praying that they would do something to protect his daughter. - as we know, silently praying is a crime these days.

I just wanted to point out that as time goes by and more is brushed under the carpet - right minded individuals did report this to the relevant authorities and were threatened as racists. Some were punished. The Labour MP was deselected due to reporting this I believe. It stinks as pandering to fanatic, racist scum who believe their perversion of religion and law makes them untouchable. I don't blame anyone for being angry or wanting to take the law into their own hands.

Agreed. The new left think that it is more important to pander to and support various minority groups than to protect children from abuse.

Is there any actual evidence for this? If so I would be pleased to see it, and it's context. It sounds like an apocryphal story to me.

How many times does it need to be said that nobody has been, or would be, arrested for "silently praying"?

What they were arrested for is acting in a way that was considered potentially intimidatory, specifically and only, in an area covered by a restraining order.

Got it now?

Firstly, I don't believe anyone, especially the police, has, or would ever, pander to any fanatic racist scum. They may have followed a different strategy, but that's not pandering.

Secondly, no-one ever has an excuse, whatever the perceived provocation, for wanting to take the law into their own hands. There are always legal ways available. You just need to be determined and tenacious.

From the Independent Inquiry into CSE in Rotherham 1997-2013

5.9 In two of the cases we read, fathers tracked down their daughters and tried to
remove them from houses where they were being abused, only to be arrested
themselves when police were called to the scene. In a small number of cases (which
have already received media attention) the victims were arrested for offences such
as breach of the peace or being drunk and disorderly, with no action taken against
the perpetrators of rape and sexual assault against children.

Question for WE....if it was your daughter, being abused and raped, you knew where she was, you would just call the police and wait while they made up their minds???? Or would you act (like most fathers) and get seriously involved??

Thanks. That report though is light on context.

We don't know why the fathers were arrested, what happened before or after, or what else the police did.

Likewise, we don't know whether the victims were actually arrested for their own protection, if they were refusing to leave of their own free will,

Nor do we know why no action was taken against the alleged perpetrators. The problem with allegations is that nasty thing called evidence and if the victims don't see themselves as victims, then gathering it in sufficient quality to gain convictions isn't as easy as some seem to imagine.

She was silently standing in a street that she was not banned from and was perhaps silently praying. By any sane standards that cannot be interpreted as intimidatory.

Got it now?
