I know this might seem an odd suggestion given the position they're in, but I actually still think Chris Wilder could do a good job if he left Sheffield Utd this season. They have a weak squad and have been beset by injuries, but tactically he does seem to have some interesting ideas and a willingness to make adjustments mid-game (often switching between 3-5-2 and 4-4-2). I think Warnock suggested him when he left us last time round. He is a life long Sheffield Utd fan though, so it is perhaps unlikely that he will quit. For me it would have to be a no for CW. Once O,Connell got injured his team fell apart, where as last season they had no injuries and times where good.

No idea if he’s keen to join club management again and aware he’s onto a good thing with England BUT he’s someone who is vastly experienced at blooding through youth whilst remaining tactically astute. The work he’s done/doing with England will no doubt cast respect. His managerial career at club level hasn’t been shocking and was sacked whilst Middlesbrough were still pushing for promotion. What’s more, he’s an ex-Palace player! It is probably too much of a step up for him at the moment. He probably feels he isn’t ready to leave England.

I believe it was stated that Sheff Utd were going to allow Chris Wilder to continue even if they get relegated. Edited by Willo (03 Mar 2021 9.21am)

Nowhere near it. I saw a time when I’d renew but not attend some matches. Now I can’t watch this stuff so why renew? I’ll be waiting to see what changes are made. Forget the early bird savings. But seeing as we have western countries ready to close their countries down for autumn and winter there may not be any attendance at football next season anyway. Maybe that tempts parish to continue with this apart from one new player on the pitch Roy would rather not play or can’t fit him in.

He's Roy MK2, they've had lots of narrow defeats and few heavy defeats, but if the game at Selhurst is anything to go by, they shown no attacking intent even at 2-0 down. Last season it worked, this year they've been found out.

Clean sheet against Manure, 4pt from them this season. Roy must go now
