I'm sure Hodgson is not naive enough to think that the recent performances would not have resulted in vitriolic abuse if there were spectators in the ground. Come next season I'm positive he knows what will happen if we start this way or return to this style at any point. Personally I want him gone, the sooner the better, but I'm not the Chairman. He's done what has been asked of him. He has got us safe for another year. The real problem we have is the spectre of FdB and Parrish not wanting to look like the incompetent fool. Not renew Hodgson's contract, bring in a new manager and fund substantially to recruit new players to replace all the out of contract ones and hope it works as there is no guarantee or stick with Steady Roy.

Interesting to hear Clinton say that he didn't think Roy would be here next year. He was also quick to say he didn't have any special knowledge but felt that the club would be making big changes this summer. Clinton also said he knows people at the club and speaks to the likes of Steve Parish and Mark Bright!

i think Clinton let the cat out of the bag. i suspect Roy is already making his plans for life after Palace...happening very soon. i will be sad to see Roy go, and fearful for whoever replaces Roy.
the 'Net-We-had' at the Etihad....again |

I have no doubt Roy will be here next season, there seems to be little choice in the market. S Gerrard would be a great choice IMO but can’t see him leaving Rangers and Champ League football for us. Another year of Royball without Wilf and a few others. Expect to see Tekkers given a 3 year deal to add to the general lack of optimism

What the Judas Priest is wrong with that comment? Looking back on some of our results we could/should be above Liverpool.

I would imagine our manager would much prefer to get away from all the hassle of trying to get our squad to actually function as one I bet his wife feels exactly the same, he has achieved everything that was expected of him and has kept this squad not only up but competing, almost a miracle for me.

TBF Gribbo, I get the sentiment but tonight I did not think that was poor at all, I was/am very proud of that performance! Exactly, the hating fans are just extremely upset that's all ..they were fully hoping for a good old Manchester thrashing and now you can see clearly how they all stand out lol

With a fully fit Schlupp and Wilf out there we most probably would have.
